I don't usually leave reviews, but there aren't many places to get ramen in Tennessee, so this was a pretty big disappointment. I was so annoyed with my meal that I didn't finish it. I made up some excuse to spare the server some embarrassment, then I paid and left. The noodles were the cheapest, stiffest noodles I've ever had at a restaurant. They were obviously prepacked and still stuck together in a few places when they reached my table! I've literally produced much better noodles just by properly preparing a store bought packet. It doesn't matter how good your broth or ingredients are if you can't even get the noodles right. I imagine what you're doing is sticking a puck of noodles in hot broth and letting it sit. If that's all you have to work with you could at least bring it to a boil, separate the noodles once they've softened a bit then let it simmer so the heat reaches them evenly. The result should be a bit softer than a spaghetti noodle with some springiness to it and no stiff, under-cooked or connected spots. I figured out how to prepare dehydrated noodles when I was in middle school; this isn't rocket science and serving your customer something you know isn't even properly cooked is just disgraceful, especially with today's prices.
I drive all across TN for work, so I'm going to put this in my calendar. I'll come back in a month and place the same order. If the noodles are better I'll delete this review and write a positive one. If they aren't, I'll leave another like this and I wont come again.
P.S. Name your broths properly! "Regular" and "creamy" is misleading. Tonkotsu ramen has a creamy pork broth. That's what's "regular" for Tonkotsu, but since one of the options was "regular" I assumed that was already creamy and you just had different levels of creaminess. What I got instead was a clear broth without any of the rich flavor a tonkotsu is supposed to have. So, on top of the terrible noodles, the flavor wasn't even right. Ramen is defined by its broth. There is no "regular" and if they tell you what kind of ramen they want, you shouldn't be asking what broth they want. Asking that is basically the same as asking the customer if they want a completely different ramen than what...
Read moreAwesome place, awesome people, and honestly—just good vibes all around.
I’m not a seafood fan, so I usually stick with vegetarian rolls, and Rock N Roll Sushi has never let me down. Their veggie rolls are fresh and flavorful, and I genuinely enjoy every visit. Every time I’ve dined in at the Spring Hill location, the service has been superb. The entire staff radiates kindness and warmth—I’m honestly mad at myself for not getting their names, because they deserve a shoutout.
Lately, I’ve been placing more pickup orders, and they nearly always have my food ready early, which makes life so much easier. But today (6/26/25), something special happened that made me finally sit down and write this review.
I showed up a bit early for my pickup (probably got loaded up with my dog a little faster than expected), and when I told the team my name, they let me know it wasn’t quite ready yet. Totally fine—I had nowhere I needed to be. I stepped back out to wait in the car with my pup, AC on, when a minute later… out comes a staff member with my food.
It’s a small gesture, but it meant everything. They didn’t have to do that. This isn’t one of those places where curbside is part of the service—it was just a thoughtful choice made by someone who saw a small opportunity to help and took it. That kind of initiative and care speaks volumes. As someone who works in leadership, this is exactly the kind of moment you hope your own team would create for others.
To that staff member: I wish I had your name. You made my evening. And to the entire Spring Hill team—you totally rock. You’ve earned my business over any other sushi spot, even if they carry those tempura chicken or sweet potato rolls I miss from Florida.
P.S. Dear corporate—if you’re listening, adding those roll options for us seafood-avoiders would be a dream come true. 🙏 But seriously, the team here makes everything taste better anyway.
Thank you...
Read moreThis place is actually nasty and if I could give it zero stars I genuinely would. The service is great but that's the only thing good about this place, l ordered $80 worth of food at 7pm I got home and I was majorly disappointed. Everything was lacking FLAVOR! The fried rice tasted like actually nothing, the kids chicken was dry and flavorless, the sushi or whatever the "rolls" are was so bad I spit it back out, the "hibachi" tasted like they put it on the grill and didn't season it, and let's not forget how the "wasabi" wasn't even wasabi it tasted like horseradish! And the salmon on all the rolls is the most pitiful looking salmon I've ever seen CLEARLY not fresh or a good quality salmon. The people on the grill have obviously never been to a real hibachi place, you're better off going to shogun for better quality food. DO NOT waste your money HERE!! My 9 year old brother was crying because he hated the food and went to bed hungry, even my 3 year old sister said "I don't like it". This place SUCKS, you know a sushi place is going to be bad when you seen there are no Asian people working behind the grill, if you want better quality food that's actually worth you're money go to Fulins...
