Ah, Thai Spice. Dining here isnāt simply a meal; itās an invitation to taste Thailandās best flavors wrapped in elegance, with a little zing and a lot of heart. Having ventured through nearly every corner of the menu (purely for āresearch,ā of course), I can confidently say that every dish at Thai Spice is a culinary victory.
The experience begins with a delicate bowl of soup and a crisp, golden spring roll. Itās a small, delightful tradition they offer when dining in, like a warm hug from the kitchen. The soup is rich with layers of flavorāan aromatic introduction to the symphony to come. And that spring roll? Light, crisp, with a burst of fresh veggies, itās the perfect companion, like a good friend who knows exactly what you need.
Now, let me tell you about my personal heroes: the Spicy Cashew Nut and the Pad Thai. The Spicy Cashew Nut is a dish with a touch of fire, balanced by the warmth of roasted cashews and vibrant, crunchy vegetables. Itās bold, but also comforting, like a spicy jazz tune that hits all the right notes. This is the dish that knows how to make an entrance and leave a lasting impression.
And the Pad Thai? Oh, the Pad Thai! Tangy, slightly sweet, and always perfectly balanced, itās the classic that reminds you why classics exist in the first place. Each noodle seems to have been seasoned with both skill and a hint of magic, and every bite feels like a little celebration.
Beyond my favorites, every dish at Thai Spice carries that same commitment to flavor and authenticity, making it impossible to go wrong. Iāve never been disappointed, whether itās a tried-and-true favorite or a new discovery. Every dish is like a handpicked gift, crafted to delight.
If you seek a dining experience thatās both refined and joyfully vibrant, where every bite feels like a new adventure, then Thai Spice is your destination. Bring your curiosity, bring your friends, and most importantly, bring your appetite. Thai Spice will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was happy to learn that a Thai restaurant was nearby, and I had high hopes. However, my experience was disappointing. The atmosphere could have done with a little less lighting, but then lighting is not the real issue. The issue was the actual food. I ordered a panang curry w chix. I ordered it Thai hot which is no problem for me. It wouldnāt rate as Thai hot. Coming from Boston and DC Iām fairly confident on knowing what quality food is. But in saying that, Iāve had great Thai food in bumfuk nowheresville Kentucky. But back to the food. The curry appeared gravy like as if it was from a jar w stabilizer and thickeners. And the copious amount of vegetables were obviously frozen. The chicken was so minced I couldnāt differentiate it from the bland overcooked rice. After a few bites I had to stop. It was inedible. The server, who was very nice, seemed to know I was disappointed. As with some many ethnic restaurants in the Brooksville/HighPoint/ Weeki Wachee area, restaurants water down their fare to appeal to an audience they feel doesnāt know what authenticity is, and that they may not value that authenticity. This is a big mistake. If youāre a Thai restaurant make the food like you would make it for your own family. There is no need to change the recipes or water it down. Many people who live in this area have retired here from places where serious authentic ethnic cuisines are familiar to them. Thai Spice should elevate their fare to classic dishes that might scare off the āknow nothingsā and appeal to the audience that is starved for real authenticity. They are here. And unfortunately they drive to other areas to find real, authentic, high quality cuisine. So, I guess I have to drive to Ocala or Saint Pete to eat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBad experience eating in there for lunch today. I waited 40 minutes for my lunch as I watched people who came in after me get both their soup and food before I did. I only had time to eat my soup and ended up having to get my vegetable pad thai boxed up to go. When I got back to work to eat my lunch I found a random cherry stem in my vegetable pad thai. On top of that, the vegetables were over cooked and mushy. I called and spoke to Christy, the manager. She apologized but didn't seem very sympathetic. She made it seem like it was my fault for not bringing it up to her attention while I was there. The truth is that I would've over looked how long the food took to come out if it had been good, but it wasn't and nobody enjoys finding random cherry stems in their food that are not part of the ingredients. I don't think I'll be back to this place.
In response to the response "FROM THE OWNER" below Thank you for your response. First of all, it's absolutely not true, and secondly, I really don't appreciate receiving more of the same bad quality customer service that I received over the phone from your manager. It must just be company policy to treat customers badly. I guess all of the other stuff like random items in my food and mushy vegetables doesn't matter to a restaurant as long as they claim that they can keep track of time. Oh and by the way, I asked the waiter to cash me out way before I got my food so that I could just get back to work on time since the food was taking forever. That's why I mentioned above asking to have it boxed up to go when I was eating in to begin with. I definitely won't be back there ever again and I wouldn't recommend this place...
