It's been YEARS since I've had the reason and opportunity to dine at LongHorn, things just never lined up correctly, so when my friends suggested a girls day with lunch here, I jumped at the chance! Our server was AWESOME! He was so kind, considerate, friendly, and funny, that if our food had been less than perfect, I doubt we'd have noticed; that said, I'm really glad our food was sooo good! It made the experience one that I'm very much looking forward to repeating when we return in a couple of weeks. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to make our girls lunches a monthly (at minimum) event! Our waiter, by the way, was kind enough to take the picture I have posted. He was such a great sport!! Not only was the service way above and beyond, but the food was EXCELLENT! Honestly, I don't usually like a sirloin steak, I much prefer a "well- marbled" steak, and sirloin is just so lean that they're almost always dry and tough... that is, until now! (The only reason I ordered it is because I couldn't find my card, and I only had enough cash on hand for the sirloin). The chef here is probably the ONLY chef in Pasco, Hernando, or Pinellas, who knows how to cook such a lean steak CORRECTLY! It was so TENDER, cooked to perfection, and packed with just the perfect amount of seasoning! Wow, I didn't even know that a sirloin COULD be this tender! The chef here is incredible. I'll definitely be back - and it won't be only once a month with the girls - I'll be bringing my husband, my mom, my brother, my niece & nephew, and other friends and family! Honestly, if they did this good of a job on a sirloin, I can't WAIT to taste their ribeye!!

Being an avid fan of steakhouses, Longhorn will not disappoint you. Yes it is within a stone's throw of other steak houses, but it does keep it's own identity among them. Menu isn't too over crowded with options but there are good choices. We started our meal with the cheddar stuffed mushrooms and spicy chicken bites. Both were quite good. Followed it up with a bowl of French onion soup, also tasty. Mains were prime rib and NY strip. Sides were typical fare, french fries, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potato, etc. All came out hot, more importantly the steaks and prime rib we're cooked correctly. There was an impressive amount of staff hurling refills at you and taking things from the table, all very politely. It is a bit pricey compared to some other options, but it was very good. We are an average family of 4 and with 2 adult beverages and the complete meal skipping dessert ran just over $120. Definitely just as good if not slightly better than the other choices in the area. Still has the new restaurant smell so the wait will be at least 40 to 45 minutes at prime time, about 30 minutes after that. Still, worth the wait. Good for a repeat.

Update: Our second visit was outstanding. Bree our server was professional and very efficient. Ordered the half rack of fall off the bone ribs and I may say one of the most yummy ribs I had in a long time. The fully loaded baked potato came out hot till the last bite. My husband had the 8 ounce burger which ha said was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The lobster shrimp chowder was good and hot. We were very pleased and will continue to enjoy in future visits the great food and service. I'm a demanding customer when dining. The attentiveness from Devin was excellent and she was prompt to resolve my request. Upon ordering I ordered a medium well Ribeye with a baked potato. I emphasized that I wanted my food hot and my steak chard. The steak was medium and the baked potato warm. The manager came and had the potato replaced and the steak to medium well done. I must say that I left totally satisfied as both waitress and manager went out of their way too make us feel totally satisfied. We left convinced that they value the customer.

Outstanding Service at LongHorn – A Heartfelt Thank You to Autumn

I’d like to take a moment to sincerely commend one of your servers, Autumn, for providing my family and me with an exceptional dining experience at LongHorn Steakhouse. We frequently visit LongHorn, often twice or more a month, for full family gatherings, and while we’ve come to expect great food, today the service truly stood out.

Autumn demonstrated outstanding attention to detail and went above and beyond to make our meal special. One personal dining preference of mine is to have the parmesan crust served separately from my steak so I can enjoy it with the bread. In the past, this request has often been misunderstood — the parmesan ends up on the steak, leading to delays as I politely ask for it to be corrected. Usually, I end up eating after everyone else.

But not this time.

Autumn got it exactly right the first time. She listened, confirmed the order carefully, and ensured it was prepared exactly as I asked. It might sound like a small thing, but for me, it meant being able to enjoy my meal with my family, and that made all the difference.

In addition, even though the kitchen was running behind (as is understandable on busy days), Autumn’s attentiveness never wavered. She kept our drinks refilled, checked on us regularly, and most impressively acknowledged the wait without us even needing to mention it. She proactively spoke with a supervisor to ensure we received a goodwill gesture for our patience, which was completely unexpected and deeply appreciated.

Autumn embodies everything that makes great service memorable: professionalism, empathy, proactive care, and a personal touch. Thanks to her, what could have been an ordinary dinner turned into a wonderful and seamless experience for our entire family.

Please extend our deepest thanks to Autumn. She is a true asset to your team, and we will certainly be asking for her by name in future visits.

Warm...

We have had great experiences with Longhorn in Tampa. Unfortunately never a good experience at Longhorn in Brooksville. This is the second attempt at this place and wow what a disappointment. We called ahead for twelve people, arrived and waiting quite a while. This was understandable they were busy. It was all downhill from there. We ordered our food and it was over an hour and 40 minutes before it was bought. We asked what was going on and were told first the kitchen was backed up, the second waitress said there was another big party and their order was in before ours so that was what was taking so long, finally the manager came out and said ' I don't know what is going on in the kitchen but there is no excuse for it". He took 10 percent off our bill because of the excessive amount of time, and it looked like that was going on all over the restaurant. Everyone seemed frustrated due to the time it took to get their food. Then it got worse my wife ordered a ribeye cooked medium and it was so dry and overcooked she could not eat it. This is a steak house and they could not properly cook a steak. By then it was so late we just had it removed and she just ate her potato. The older of our two waitresses began getting short with us. We asked for boxes and were given tiny little boxes and ended up having to get multiple and cram our food into them. Other tables around us were given full meal sized boxes, it almost felt purposeful at this point. We had to ask multiple times for bags for our food. There was nothing really good to say about he experience except it is over. If you are wanting a good properly cooked steak I would advise choosing Outback on 19, their management is wonderful and it shows in their food and service. I would strongly recommend passing up this particular Longhorn. I am very sorry to have to make this review, but for some who has worked most of their life in customer service, you really need a lot of...

We typically go here for our weekly date nights and have always had great service but recently this restaurant has gone downhill, the food is still good but the service is terrible from start to finish. We went here recently on a Tuesday night and the hostess, a "certified trainer" never even formally greeted us when we came in or even made eye contact, it was like we annoyed her just for coming in at 7pm (not closing time) and she promptly seated us right next to the walkway to get into the bar when the rest of the tables were still mostly open, we asked to move and they switched us to the table right next to the kitchen so we were already annoyed that we couldn't sit at one of the many open tables where we could actually have an enjoyable conversation. Then we waited over 20 minutes just for water and drinks, then when we finally ordered our food I asked the server "How do you recommend I have the cook prepare my meat?" The reason I ask this is the server knows the cook better than I do, I don't know if this cook really does rare, medium, and well or if you ask for medium and you get rare because this cook is impatient. But she responded to me with a snarky "That's a personal preference, I don't know how you like your meat" Then the food took another a while to get to the table and then my medium steak was cooked rare, exactly why I asked. Then we actually had to flag her down and ask for our bill because she just kept running by our table to get into the kitchen. Our typical 1 hour long dinner took over 2 hours and we missed our movie so until Longhorn management can get this place under control and give customers better treatment, we won't be...
