First I will say the good , the hosts were amazing super friendly and even helped box my sons to go and get us a bag as we weren’t able to do so at the bar . Ok now , we always sit at the bar because I feel like you usually get the best service at the bar so we do that almost all the time when it’s just two of us going to a restaurant but the bartenders tonight we’re definitely not high volume bartenders. They were very slow and I hate to say this, but absolutely miserable, we sat and were acknowledged at all for a while, and then a second bartender came behind the bar. We asked her if we could get some sodas and place an order which she wrote on her hand and we asked when the bread came out if we could possibly get some regular butter, she never brought us any rolls finally, I asked the short bartender. I can’t tell you her name because neither one of them introduced themselves or even spoke to us for our entire visit until it was time to get the check. And her reply was “ well we are busy “ then proceeded to roll her eyes at me . I bartended for many years and I’ve never said it a bar where the bartender doesn’t even engage with the guest at all, we sat down after people got up the bar was never wiped. They never brought our rolls. Finally, we asked a manager who came up and she got us the rolls we had no plates we had no silverware. There was no salt and pepper. Our food came out. We tried to nicely flagged her down for a refill which we were ignored. my son had to actually yell excuse me and he got a refill we our entire meal tried to get her attention for her to get salt and pepper where again we were ignored, we sat with our plates piled and toward the front of the bar, waiting for her to come over and give us our check which again she never did. My son had to yell to get herAttention. In the meantime the taller one with the black hair and blonde streak complained to other employees who were bringing her glasses . The servers seemed to be waiting forever for their drinks too . The guys across from us were also very displeased and told the bar tender so . Usually 2 bartenders 1 does service, one waits on bar not here both paid no attention to the bar guests. I don’t know how someone who works for tips could not speak to people sitting at their bar . I used to come all the time and they had a great guy forgot his name and a girl I think Brenda both were fantastic, these 2 definitely didn’t belong behind a busy bar . First time in years that I left only an 18% tip , I’m in the industry and always tip 30% and up . Neither of them spoke until I got the check , manager got rolls , another server brought us silverware, another server brought us butter , manager brought us plates and never got the bar wiped or any salt or pepper . Tried nicely putting glass up for a refill but didn’t get it so had to yell to her finally. Horrible customer service . On the way out tho host boxed my sons bread , got us a bag and both male and female host smiled and said good bye . Maybe train them...
Read moreWent there for the first time, and probably my last, with a friend. We were quickly seated, but I think my friend made a reservation. The hostess, Whitney (sp?), was great! She checked in at different intervals to make sure everything was alright.
At one point, some woman in a lime green shirt came to the table, she didn't introduce herself at all, interrupted the conversation my friend and I were having, and started asking us if everything was good despite the hostess who had literally just asked us... Think it may have been the manager? Either way, it was honestly a bit of an intrusive maneuver on her part which shows rude/poor management...
The food was mediocre at best. How they made their seasoned rice greasy is a little worrisome... The critters (chicken strips) were surprisingly dry, but with the dipping sauce it was edible. The country chicken steak looked decent. The mashed potatoes appeared to be boxed made and the corn was ok for being cooked from frozen. Their fried pickles were not what I expected, but decent. Instead of frying pickle spears or a whole pickle - what you receive is a basket of thin cut fried pickles. Their blooming onion is laughable. The batter falls off the onion... The Caesar salad was alright, but the plating was kind of disappointing. It looked as if it had literally been tossed on the plate and sloshed with dressing. The strawberry cheesecake was great and I can only assume it was not made there because it was really nicely made.
The ambiance was what anyone would expect from a place such as this - drowned out with music. It made the conversation hard; most of the time I was lip reading because I couldn't hear what my friend was saying across the table. To me this place is a jumped up sports bar trying to pull off a country feel which failed miserably.
Side note: While there a couple was seated at the table next to us and I really feel sorry for the host who served them... The guy complained about every single thing. It seemed as if the host was at their table unable to get away because every two to three minutes the guy kept beckoning the host over to complain... And that was even before their...
Read moreWent here with my husband and son for dinner tonight, service was outright awful, and the food was just okay.
Cheese fries were the best thing we ate, the fried onion appetizer isn’t bad but very greasy and the sauce is weirdly sweet. We got 2 steak dinners 1 ordered blue, 1 med rare, both were overcooked. 1 was ordered with corn and fries but they brought double fries and even though I let the food runner know he was supposed to get corn the corn was never brought out. The chicken on the country fried chicken was perfectly cooked, but the over seasoned(super salty/smokey) cream gravy was basically inedible the sides were seasoned rice which was alright, and macaroni and cheese(at an up-charge of $0.99) which was pretty terrible.
The service was outright awful, our waitress was inattentive at best, and rude at worst. When she brought a second soda for my son I asked to switch him to water after that one and she pretended like she had no idea what I was asking(“so do you want me to take this one away then?”…”no… I just would like him to have water after this”) and then she imitated my Long Island accent when she brought him the water on the next round! My Midwest husband was shocked that she would be that blatant about it and actually looked at me and said “Oh wow, now it makes sense…”
We were never asked if we would like more rolls(we would have), she did ask if we wanted some boxes, but then never brought them, and also never asked if we were ready for the check.
Another employee eventually asked if we would like boxes, and that employee was the one who finally brought them. And I ended up using the kiosk thing on the table to pay the check which was never explained as an option but I checked it myself and went ahead and paid there.
We also did a to go order for one chicken tender dinner with a sweet potato, and corn, and we specifically asked for rolls to go with that meal, but we found out from the family member we took it home to that we were not given the rolls.
All around not a great experience, and I do not see...
