I had the privilege of attending my 20-year 5th CAG reunion at the Leatherneck Bar & Grill, and I have to say—what an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was everything you’d hope for in a place that pays tribute to the Marine Corps. The décor was spot-on, a perfect blend of history and pride, with memorabilia that sparked so many stories from years past.
The service was top-notch. The staff was not only attentive but also seemed to genuinely appreciate the significance of our gathering, making sure we had everything we needed. It’s not easy to keep up with a group of Marines catching up after decades apart, but they handled it like pros.
The best part, though, was reconnecting with teammates, brothers, and friends—some of whom I hadn’t seen in years. We swapped stories, laughed like no time had passed, and reflected on the bonds that will always tie us together. Nights like this remind you that the Marine Corps isn’t just about service—it’s about the lifelong friendships that come with it.
If you ever get the chance to visit Leatherneck Bar & Grill, I highly recommend it. Whether you're looking for a place to share a drink with old friends or just soak in a great military atmosphere, this place...
Read moreTwo of us dined here today and we tried the Leatherneck burger and the tacos of the day, Carnitas tacos. We both thought the food was 5/5 and also the price is such a good deal! The 3 tacos were $8 and had hot, juicy flavorful meat with pico, Mexican cheese, and pickled onions on top. So good! They asked how we wanted the burger, which is always a really good sign, and we said medium. It came out a perfect medium with buttered and toasted bun, bright red big tomato slices, onions, lettuce and mayo. We got to choose a side and Andrew recommended onion rings since the hand batter them in bourbon... Or whiskey, I don't remember. All I remember is a huge pile of a dozen of the best onion rings I have ever had. Burger and onion rings was just $12! This no-frills bar and grill has friendly staff, customers who enjoyed chatting with us, and super clean environment. We can't wait to return! A big thank-you to Andrew who answered the phone before we left to let us know if they were open today and ALSO answering right away when I couldn't find the bar because it is a...
Read moreMy husband and I are both Marines and couldn't wait to check this place out/show our kiddos the Marine Corps memorabilia. The sign out front says "Everyone welcome", but we did not feel welcome. As soon as we walked in our kiddos were trying to see all the things on the wall and the bartender came over, reminded us this was a bar, and told us to keep the kiddos away from the area. They didn't even get to look at the walls. We are both Iraq War Veterans and had hoped to show them the area dedicated to that era, which is close to the bar. There was only 2 people in there so it wasn't like we were disturbing anyone or anything or even close to alcohol. We left, didn't get anything because we felt awkward, and couldn't show the kiddos anything. They should change the sign or have clear indication that kiddos aren't welcome here/in certain areas. Additionally and as a whole, this place was not even close to nice or what we wanted it to be....
