LOKURAS Mexican raspados — Restaurant in Spring Valley

Absolutely love this place. They have all the bomb Mexican treats & desserts. The staff the establishment the service is all A1. The esquite is BOMB & the Tostilocos. I also highly recommend the Sandia Loca, it has all the bomb stuff you can think of like Cacaguates,Tamarindo,Chamoy...etc. ugh it's delicious! I've also tried the Piña Loca, which is essentially the same thing but with pineapple. The fruit cocktail is also pretty delicious. What can I say, LITERALLY EVERYTHING is DELICIOUS! I SIMPLY CANNOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT LOKURAS. Yes people, its THAT good. They also have the bomb ORIGINAL ships 4rm Mexico & ugh they are DELICIOUS! The ice cream is pretty good as well. I also LOVE the Fresas con Crema. Top notch stuff! I would reccomend this place for anyone with antojitos. Love love love this place. Hands down the best...

First time I have ever been to a place like this and it was great. I guess I should start with I only speak English... So that being said everyone was very patient with me asking a million different questions about the menu (everything was in Spanish) the man in line behind us was laughing at my questions and helping answer them. I decided on Mexican corn on the cob in a cup don't know the Spanish name but it was delicious. Then the man that was laughing behind me in line bought me a Chamango to try. I can see this being a staple in my life. It has chunks of mango, mango sorbet, chamoy and tamarind. It is the perfect combination of sweet, salty, sour and spicy! Looking forward to trying more...

I visited Lokuras on S. Decatur recently and wanted to share some feedback. The mango in my cup was very green and much too hard to enjoy, so I ended up setting it aside. The tamarindo also seemed a bit old, and the sauce was extremely sweet, which overpowered the other flavors. For the price — $62.00 — I expected fresher ingredients and a better balance of flavors. I’m sharing this because I really like the idea of what you offer, and I hope this helps improve the experience for future customers.
