We arrived fairly early around 5pm and the restaurant was 75% empty. Not worth the money spent here. First & Last time coming to this place. Rip Off! The manager looks like she is still in intermediate school and not welcoming, no restaurant hosting experience at all. Not friendly at all. Came in with a party of 8, we was not greeted by anyone. The young manager asked us how many, instead of seating us, she said to bring the rest of our party in. All 8 of us looked at each other confused. We should have walked out. We decided to stay and give this another shot. The food was ok, tasted better else were. The Boiling crab is far better and worth the trip. The wait time here is ridiculous. The waiter forget about my request. It took 40 min to order, 25 min. to get our food. 30 min. waiting for take out plates and to receive the tab. We also waited 20 min. for a drink refill. Too much waisted time here. This place seemed to be understaffed. We decided to pay three different tabs. We were unaware of the automatic 18% tip off of the total bill. Why is it that only Asian restaurants do this automatic tip thing? Some Asian restaurants don’t do this anymore for what ever reason, maybe an attorney was involved. This was a surprise to us so three separate bills with three separate 18% tip totaled to $55 tip for the one waiter. On the sign it stats party of 6 or more, no 18% tip, so the tip would be our decision and choice to make. We tried to explain to the young manager about her restaurant policies and that if she could just add one 18% tip or just let us decide on what to tip the waiter, but she would not budge. Any restaurant matured, civilized manager would accommodate customers who are unaware of the circumstances. Never again, I’m sure this restaurant will lose more customers over time and will have to make that call to bar rescue, I meant chef...
Read moreEvery time we go to Vegas we want to try something new. This time, one of my friend recommend this restaurant for seafood, so we went there for lunch on a Sunday. This place is in a big shopping center with many other seafood restaurants, actually the whole street is full of all types of ethnic food restaurants. A great location and plenty of parking space.
When we first walked in, we thought it was just a bar but then when my friend came, we got to sit down and start ordering. It was a Sunday so we didn't have to wait in line and it happens to have Happy Hour and Happy prices all day, so it was our lucky day.
The menu with the prices are quite inexpensive, especially with happy hour prices. We ordered practically everything on the menu.
The draft beer was great, we tried that. The fresh oysters were so good we ordered 3 plates. The deep fried oysters were so good too. The fried shrimps my sister liked because she can't eat others seafood. I've had catfish in Alabama and I thought it was great, but this place made catfish much better, the catfish is so crispy and light, I could eat without feeling tired of it. This one is a must for anyone who can eat catfish. The calamari fried is so tender and crispy, they do know how to fry stuff here. The buffalo wings are tasty with perfect hot sauce. The last one was the sampler combo of the boiling seafood, new orlean's style cajun sauce with snow crab, shrimps, sausages and they're so tasty and delicious. Everyone gets an apron and plastic gloves to peels the shells of these delicious seafood. Even the fries are good here. We finished with some Ice Cream, very nice. There are quite a few of these restaurants, but we've just tried this one and we liked it. The service was so excellent, very attentive and quick. I'm sure we're going to visit this place whenever we're...
Read moreWe were excited about trying this place, having never been here before. After we sat down, the first thing we started asking each other was, what are the prices on your menu, because the prices were handwritten, and some were difficult to decipher. The server asked us for drinks, and I ordered iced tea with real sugar. She brought me Splenda. I reiterated that I asked for real sugar. She said they don't have any like that in packs. So I did ask her if the kitchen could get me some, and she brought me a little sugar in a small plastic cup. What? No sugar for the tea they serve? That was a little bit odd and off-putting. If it was only that, there would have been no problems. However, we couldn't help but notice the boiling bags did not include any eggs, potatoes or corn. All of that had to be purchased separately. Usually, that's not a problem anywhere else. However, here they wanted you to buy three of any of those items, you could not just buy one. I didn't want to eat three corns or three potatoes! So, we started to get very discouraged at the whole idea of eating there. One of us wanted to order a combo platter but it included a half a pound of sausage, which were not replaceable with anything else. That's when we decided to leave. There are a lot of other restaurants out there that have sugar on the table, or at least readily available. And, we are accustomed to getting corn potatoes and an egg in our boiling bag. Why do I have to buy three of those just to get one? I asked, and they would not sell me one of any of those items. We paid for our drinks...
