I have been a customer of Pho 8 since I moved to Las Vegas. It’s my # 1 Vietnamese restaurant in Las Vegas that I keep coming back to. However, my last visit yesterday was a complete disappointment!! The bun tom thit cha gio did not taste the same way as before. The cook is not Vietnamese and seems to just learning new Vietnamese cuisine. He is Mexican or Hispanic. The taste is not there at all. My daughter ordered the egg noodles with somewhat wanton and taste is not good as it was! We also ordered the fresh coconut with the shell and it was as hard as the rock. It could be seating in their cooler for months, I can hardly scoop it and the juice was kind of nasty!! This restaurant has failed for sure and must be investigated as I don’t trust the quality of their food anymore. The owner is snotty too and I told him I’m not paying for the stale coconut. He said that same coconut was also served to other customers. I told him and the woman (probably the wife or family) that they better not charge me or I’ll report it to the Clark County health department. After that, I was not charged eventually. The owner must be sensitive to actual complaints like that if he wants his name to continue! From now on, they lose me and I’m never...
Read moreI decided to visit Pho Saigon 80 for the first time. I went at 1:00 pm which seems to be a very busy time. The lady at the front desk was determine to find me a table. I was able to be seated after 10 mins.
The menu looks good and the prices were reasonable.
I ordered the fried egg roll which has a combo of pork and shrimp! They were delicious and hot when it was served. It a a must item!
The bun bo hue soup was ok but it seems like they took the pho broth and added some spices to make it look like Bun Bo Hue. They didn’t have the specific broth for the bun bo hue soup. It wasn’t spicy at all and the broth was very bland. The ingredients included was good but definitely not abundant like it should be.
There is plenty of parking and the people were really nice. I may come back to try something else but I wasnt impressed with...
Read moreOrdered the #41. Service was terrible, never once checked on me. The woman who took my order assumed I didn't need chopsticks and when I ordered she asked me three times if I was sure that was what I wanted. She made another assumption that I didn't eat pork blood and didn't want a thick broth. Very strange. The food was out instantly like it was just in a pot in the back. The broth had no seasoning, pork blood had no flavor, 3 shrimp and less than 4 baby slices of beef, one very small cube of pork blood. Noodles were tough and chopped up, could not pick them up with chopsticks and had to use a spoon. Dirty tables and dirty bathroom. Urine all over the floor and toilet seat. Dirty plastic water cup. Will never return. You should be ashamed of yourselves. $16.00 with no tip. Should have went to...
