This is one of my new favorite places in Vegas. A truly special place with outstanding food and service! From someone who has lived in Israel, the BEST Israeli street food I've ever had, better even than in the Middle East!
Pitas is located in a plaza off Spring Mountain on the 2nd floor, and is cutely decorated inside. As soon as you walk in, you can see mountains of fresh veggies ready to be chopped in the preparation area. Not sure if he is the owner, but the main guy working there makes everything fresh to order, and WOW can you taste the quality! If you order falafel, he will go in the back and cook up some falafel specifically for you- no food sitting out and getting stale. The owner is so kind and friendly, and will really make your experience there special! When I was there I was offered so much complimentary food, from pita chips with homemade salsa to fresh falafel, and you can tell that he really takes pride in his food and service.
The first time I was there I got a falafel pita, and the second time I got a hummus bowl with fava bean. The falafel at Pitas is probably the best I've ever had. It's crisp and crunchy on the outside, and absolutely melt in your mouth soft on the inside. The pitas are fluffy and the hummus and tahini are creamy and absolutely delicious. The hummus bowl was just bursting with flavor, from the fresh parsley to the insanely delicious olive oil to the zhug, or green spicy sauce similar to a jalapeño salsa- also the best I've ever had. I'm sure they also have shawarma for the meat eaters, but their vegan and vegetarian options are the best! They also have long, comfy benches to rest on if you doze off in a food coma from all the hummus you just consumed :)
Runnnnnn, don't walk here if you like fresh, clean, delicious food and show these...

Read moreI'm happy to share some positive feedback about the best hummus in town!
First of all, let me say that the hummus at this particular restaurant is absolutely amazing. The texture is perfect, with just the right amount of creaminess and smoothness, and the flavor is out of this world. You can really taste the tahini and the garlic, but it's not overpowering at all. Instead, it's perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying.
One thing I love about this hummus is that it's not overly heavy or filling, so you can really enjoy it without feeling weighed down afterwards. It's the perfect appetizer or snack to share with friends, and it's also great for dipping veggies or pita bread into.
But what really sets this hummus apart from others in town is the quality of the ingredients. You can tell that the chickpeas are fresh and cooked to perfection, and the tahini and olive oil are both of the highest quality. It's clear that the chefs take great pride in their work and put a lot of care and attention into every dish they make.
If you're a hummus fan, you simply have to give it a try. Trust me, you won't be...
