If I could give this place -5 stars I would. We walked in on New Year's Eve around 5pm. Mind you I am South Korean and my significant other is African American. When we walked in the place was empty except for maybe 6 people who were already eating. We were not greeted I had to ask someone if we just sit wherever or needed to wait to be seated. They saw us walk in and looked at us quite a few times and yet no one acknowledged us. The lady whom I asked for a menu held up a piece of plastic and told us to scan the QR code and walked away. We then proceeded to watch her whisper to another lady and both of them look over like they were debating on who would have to wait on us. Once we finally sat down no one and I mean no one came to offer drinks or to take our order. They were all standing around on their phones, avoiding eye contact and not once did we get acknowledged. We sat there for about 15-20 minutes and not one single person came to our table. I had to stare down someone to get them to come over and the kid didn't even speak English and could not understand any of our questions. We were so frustrated and insulted at the point we just left. The ignorance and discrimination, and racism shown at this place was completely obvious. Needless to say we walked out and will...
Read moreI visited Yunnan Tasty Garden in Chinatown with my family a few weeks ago and we had a great time. This little restaurant is located in a busy plaza on Spring Mountain Road, but we were able to find parking easily. The restaurant is spacious and decorated with traditional Chinese elements. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was fast.
They are known for offering a delectable array of Yunnan cuisine. With its diverse flavors, fresh ingredients, and unique cooking techniques, the restaurant provides an authentic culinary experience. From rice noodle dishes to intricate soups and vibrant stir-fries, you can explore the rich flavors of the Yunnan region right in the heart of Las Vegas. Honestly some of the best Chinese meals I’ve tried. Do not miss the cucumber salad. Overall a repeat place for me, the restaurant's cozy ambiance and friendly staff contributes to a memorable dining experience for both locals and tourists seeking a taste of traditional Chinese cuisine with a...
Read moreStumbled on this place while exploring outside of Vegas strip. The restaurant is tucked in a strip mall with hundreds other Asian restaurants around the area. Must be good if they can survive so we have it a try.
The server was helpful and polite even though we took up a lot of time to ask her questions.
We ordered wonton soup as most good chinese restaurant will have good wonton soup. They we want something from Yunan so the spicy boiled lamb was three choice and stir fry Chinese greens with garlic.
The good came and the portions were huge. The flavors was excellent. The "mala" flavor is pronounced but not over powering. The wonton soup (we ordered without noodles) was soft and full of meat. And the veggie was cooked through and crunchy.
The only thing is most of the foods were little on...
