When I brought my friend to try Korean food with excitement, this waitress—I believe she is the owner's daughter- was very rude to us. Two of us wanted to sit at the bigger table, so she frustratedly asked her mom in Korean, “Mom, they want to sit at this big table.” Mind you, there are literally zero people in this place. I don’t know if they are saving these seats for ghosts; apparently, it is a big deal to sit in one. I was like, “It’s okay. It’s okay. We will sit at this table by the door.” She was like, “Do you really want to sit here by the door?” I was like, “Well, it’s okay. It is empty anyway.” She did not like that at all. When we opened the menu, the average food cost was about $30- $50.? Honeyyy, we are in America. Who pays $50 for a beef? And it is tax and tips are not included. Two of would probably spend 150$. The price is insanee.. After all these attitudes, chewing on a 50$ beef is not something I wanted to spare, so we left. And we went to the Indian food by the other side of the building. Great price, friendly servers, highly recommend that Indian food. Jin jin is a joke...
Read moreThe restaurant is located on the 2nd floor by a stairway. Worth getting -- $10.99 Jjajangmyeon (blean bean sauce noodles) was great! I haven't had this in so long. I usually like the Korean Northern Chinese version too but never thought I'd ever taste it like this again! Heavy! I didn't use the condiment sauce (super salty) as the original sauce was enough.
Its a dish I gave up on, unless the restaurant looks like they also have a lot of other great Northern Chinese Korean type dishes. My visit this time was an extremely rare occasion where I just wanted Jjajangmyeon.
This is a dish I rarely would get because #1. It's very carb heavy, and #2. Many places usually make it either too watery, too salty (Chinese version), too sweet (Korean version), or bad quality so I just get sick from it. I'm sensitive.
Maybe interested in trying their chicken dishes in the future. But this place seems very starchy carbo load of food which is too heavy for me. I'll have to wait for a moment I'm feeling for...
Read moreFood Items, Quality, and Taste: We ordered the fried dumplings, black bean noodles, mild seafood noodle soup, and sweet and sour pork. Out of all the dishes ordered my favorite was the seafood noodle soup. I felt as though the black bean noodle was lacking in depth in taste and the pork had too much batter and very little meat to itself. 5/5 for the seafood noodle soup, but a 3/5 for the pork and black bean noodles. The fried dumplings tasted delicious as well and give it a 4/5. Unfortunately, I am not much of a spicy eater so did not order any of the spicy dishes.
Service: Staff was friendly and attentive.
Atmosphere: Spacious, cozy, and modern. Decor matched the type of cuisine.
Price: $$, about ~$20 per dish.
Overall Experience: 4/5. Would come back for the seafood noodle soup and other...
