This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Las Vegas. We went specifically for the advertised $6 1942 shots all night and $4 tacos special. We ordered two shots well before 6:45 PM and tried to order queso and habanero salsa, only to be told this location doesn’t serve them at all and if drove 7 miles further to the Strip location we could get that. What kind of Mexican restaurant doesn’t serve queso?
When the chips hit the table, they were immediately stale and tasted like they had been fried in old sweet oil from churros. It was so bad I wanted to pay the tab and leave right then, but we stayed for tacos, assuming we could get a quick affordable bite and drink to eat. We ordered 3 tacos (Asada, carnitas, pastor) before 7 PM—clearly during the “happy hour period”/ “All day Taco Tuesday Tequila special”—and they charged us full price “Taco trio” instead of the $4 each special. I ordered one more shot after 7 PM while we finished eating, and when the bill came, the server admitted there was a “mistake” before even setting it down. She spoke to someone behind the bar, and we overheard, “No, happy hour is over, we need to charge them full price,” even though the website clearly states the taco and tequila specials run all night.
She apologized but insisted she had to charge the original bill. Only after I pushed did they discount the first two shots, but the tacos were still charged at full price. Later, I double-checked the website, and sure enough, the $6 1942 shots and $4 tacos are supposed to be all day, all night. When I called back to ask about this, they claimed it was our fault for ordering the wrong tequila, even though I asked for the 1942 Tuesday special multiple times to our server.
To top it off, the food was awful—the carne asada taco was burnt to a crisp and tasted nothing like steak, more like charred chicharrons, chips were awful, and the advertising was false. To us it’s not about the money but more so the experience, quality of food, and honoring what you advertise. This was such a weird, horrible experience. Especially how we’ve been wanting to try this place for sometime now and this was our first experience.
Everything about this place was a complete mess: false advertising, terrible food, and blaming the customer for their mistakes. Will absolutely...
Read moreWe decided to try something new so last night on our anniversary (Weds night) we came here for dinner around 7pm. 1 - High top chair seating is horrible you are bumping into person behind you there is no place to turn or move. 2 - Drinks are overpriced & not worth it (i been to almost every bar in vegas and i love specialty drinks) 3- Food is definitely overpriced ($40+ for a fajita combo that came with barely anything on a plate?) 4 - most of all our waiter was the worst waiter I have ever came across. Not sure if she had a bad day or what happened but she wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all.
It took our waiter 5 min to get our food but 30 min to get our drinks (never heard of that one). She never came to check up on us or asked if anything is needed and a lot of stuff was missing. After taking our order we had to bother the male bar-backs to get us basic stuff needed (utensils, ranch with buffalo wings, extra tortilla). Our female waiter literally took our order and went MIA for an hour until we got our check.
Fajita mix and wings on the side, Two drinks and total of $90 & disappointment
No thank you I would rather go to Lindo Michoacán or other similar places where services are amazing & you get what you pay for.
We probably have been to 20-30 different cantinas in town and this place was the worst of all so far.
Thank you to the bar-backs who actually ran the extra miles for the waitress who was MIA.
I definitely would not come here again especially on a special occasion or if you are hungry. We walked out of there still hungry...
Read moreDidnt even get to eat here... Never been and wanted to try it since we hear such great things... But... We walked in for lunch today (September 9, 2022), and was met with an empty host stand... No one came to greet us, so I had to get the attention of a server (I'm assuming one of the two working today), who yelled to us from across the dining room that we could seat ourselves or go sit in the bar... We sat down in the dining room at a 2 top, and waited... The waiter who yelled to us came to tell us that the full menu was open or we could select from the lunch menu which always available via QR code... Then he walked away... Didn't bother to take a drink order or offer anything, he just left... We sat there for a few a minutes, with no one approaching us, while we listened to the waitress carry on a conversation with the table behind us... Looked at the full menu, found they have tableside guacamole, which is nice, but for $20, and zero customer service, it doesn't seem worth it... I'm sure there are folks who enjoy this place, as it seems the staff are well acquainted with those who were seated in there, but after this negative experience, we will not be returning... I get it, there's staff shortages all over the place right now, and greedy employers who refuse to hire enough people to ensure proper customer service, but for the waiter to shout instead of greeting us appropriately, to not take our drink order when we sat, nor the waitress to see this and pick up for his slack, that's just unacceptable... Try...
