Hou Wei — Restaurant in Spring

I went here with a friend for dinner. We showed up a little more than an hour before closing. When we sat down, the girl was pleasant. We ordered our drinks and were looking at the menu. An older lady came running out to our table. She, in broken English, told us to order so she could pack it up for us to leave. We looked at the time and we still had an hour. We said we wanted some soup and possibly something else. She told my friend she couldn't finish that soup in an hour and needed to have it packed up so we could go. My friend and I were shocked. We ordered the soup to go and gave the menus back to the lady. She looked at us and had the audacity to ask are you sure that's all your ordering??? I looked at her and said you just told us to order the soup and leave. No we're not ordering anything else. The lady stormed off. The first girl came back 3 times and asked us what we ordered. I finally told her to get our soup, give me the bill so we can leave right now. She finally brought us the food and bill and we left. We...

I ordered shrimp broccoli which was very hot, fresh, and tasty. I enjoyed the food with the exception of the egg drop soup which was lukewarm. I think that soup should always be served hot. I gave four stars for quick service and the shrimp broccoli which I enjoyed, but I would have given 2 stars for the cold egg drop soup and the cashier who charged me more money than the price on the menu. The menu price listed $7.75 for everyday specials, but when I came to pay she charged me $8.75 and said I had to pay $1 extra for fried rice. I ended up paying $9,75 instead of $7.75 as listed on the menu. She did mention to me that the price went up, but I think she should have charged me for the price listed on the menu. They gave horrible service after the greeting. Then ignored us. An older white couple came in and was greeted with kindness. They were then served their food and drinks as my family and I waited patiently to be served. After we got our food, we ate. When it came time to pay the bill, we was charged $21.98 for two house fried rice along with the rest of our food, totalling over $100. As I instructed my children to go get in the car while I paid for the food. The server immediately came to me as if I was going to leave without paying. She then snatched the receipt book out of my hand and quickly walked to the register. As I kindly walked behind her, she realized that my payment was still in my hand, as I held it out to her to pay for our food.
