Updates: Been back 3-4 times; standards and service have remained top-notch. So flavorful. 😋 Hope the local community supports them - we need good restaurants in the area to thrive.
Small, clean restaurant located in the rejuvenated Asian business-dominated strip mall across from Walmart at FM 1960 and TC Jester. Dad, mom, and son staff this place, with dad as the chef. Visited for dinner and we were greeted and seated promptly. Ordered Sushi Sampler (6 chef’s choice Sushi/Sashimi rolls), Tofu Red Curry, and Chicken Pad Kra Pao (ground Chicken with Basil and rice). Food took a little bit of time to arrive, as they were catering to to-go/delivery orders as well. But once it arrived, it was the bomb! Ample quantity, fresh fish pairings with rice, superb curry and ground chicken. Asked for spicy with chopped fresh chili on the side - and did it hit the spot! Consistency, flavor, heat…all on point. On top of that, friendly and attentive service by mom and son! The meal set us back $53 with taxes and tip. We just found our new Thai favorite! Do support this family - they have been in town for 8 mos and if this is the type of food they dish out, then we should never...
Read moreSo my review is only on one single item. Not anything else. I ordered my absolutely favorite Thai soup that I get everywhere I go. Tom Kha Kai. It’s a coconut milk soup and is my absolute favorite! Ordered two large hot pots with chicken to go. I asked her over the phone exactly how much it would be as I was paying cash. She said $27 so I bought 30 so I could tip three dollars. When I got there, she said she rang in the wrong soup and then it was actually $32. Fortunately, I had a couple of extra dollars in cash, but that meant no tip, which made me very sad because I believe you should always tip on to go orders. The soup had minimum flavor. It was thin. It had trumpet mushrooms, which isn’t typical but I wasn’t going to complain terribly, but it also had tomatoes in it, which isn’t very typical. The woman was very sweet enough hence the two stars, but between giving me the wrong price and the soup having no flavor, I wouldn’t order this from...
Read moreSaw this restaurant driving down 1960 one day. Looked up reviews and they were great. Came for lunch with my boyfriend yesterday and they did not dissapoint. Small place, quiet and clean. Our server was so polite. Did not rush us and was so nice and soft spoken. Very welcoming.
My boyfriend had the drunken noodles with shrimp. He loved them. They ask what spice level you would like (1-5). He picked 4🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and loved it. He said it was flavorful not just masked in spice. I had the chicken pad Thai and it was also wonderful!
The food was fresh and cooked to order. We tried the crab rangoons and while they weren’t our favorite…they were fresh. The lunch special was a good portion and comes with a vegetable spring roll and miso soup or salad. All of it was delicious. We will be going again! Great spot for a quick lunch or dinner...
