I have been a huge supporter of this business since day one. You can find several of my reviews on a few of the Woodlands foodie pages and several neighborhood pages Iām a part of for both their opening day and their one year anniversary. I make sure to stop frequently for their pistachios desserts and their lasagna that we enjoy for dinner. The lasagna we get is pricey but I love supporting local and itās delicious! I was planning to use them for corporate events and have recommended them to employees that live in the area who have already gone MANY times.
All this to say ā¦. we decided to order a pan of lasagna. We ordered it two days in advance and paid when we made the order on the phone ($75). The day we were suppose to pick it up (Thursday, May 2nd) we were flooded in both Thursday and Friday. Saturday we called to make sure they knew we were coming to pick up our lasagna and the lady on the phone said ālet me check because we probably already used itā. I said āok, please check because I paid in full when I placed the order and we ordered it coldā. Several minutes passed and she said they did have one we could take.
My husband made his way immediately after we called. He went straight to the counter to pick it up (again, fully paid for and she knew we were on our way) and he was ignored horribly! Iām talking employees never making eye contact and were walking customers over to the register in front of my husband (4-5 different customers to be exact). THEN a new customer comes up behind my husband and they start helping him. Not a peep, not a welcome, NADA!
This is the first time my husband has ever been inside itās usually me who comes by after work on the way home. All of the customers that were being taken care of were on name bases with the staff. Plenty of personal conversations were being had while my husband just stood there. At least a āone moment sirā would have been nice.
I am truly disappointed in the customer service! We will not be coming back. We were planning to order one or two pans of lasagna a month. We love freezing it for those raining days! With the looks of other reviews we are not the only ones who have experienced being ignored. Iāll take my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's like eating back in the streets of Florence! The Italian foccacia sandwiches, pastries, and coffee rival those of spots we've visited in Tuscany. Come here for an authentic and delicious taste of Italy.
Vibe: Simple but tasteful, lots of seating. Colorful vibe with lovely pastel travel posters of Italian cities which make it feel even more authentic. Imported olive oil, pastas, sauces, and other products are also available to browse in the back.
Service: Incredibly kind and helpful staff. They offered the option to customize my focaccia which I gladly accepted (prosciutto, straciatella cheese, truffle cream, arugula). They offer a half sandwhich for a reduced price, which I took, but they gave me a full sandhwich anyway (cuz of the custom sandwhich?) which was really nice of them!
Food: I ordered a half foccacia with straciattela cheese, prosciutto, arugula, and truffle cream. They ended up giving me a full foccacia, which was nice. These sandwiches are huge! Very shareable. I can honestly and confidently say that the quality of the focaccia is surprisingly similar to I Fratellini and All'Antico Vinaio in Florence - I was truly blown away. I never thought that I would be able to even partially recreate that magic in Houston, but I stand corrected. The foccacia is slightly seasoned and fluffy. They add a good amount of prosciutto which has a lot of flavor and is well salted to enhance the rest of ingredients' flavor. Arugula was nice and fresh as was the thinly shredded straciatella cheese. Truffle cream had bits of truffle and was not so intense as to overwhelm the other flavors. Overall, very fresh ingredients and well balanced!
If you want an authentic taste of Tuscany, make the trip to Tosca! Excited to explore their amazing looking pastries and coffee next time. This place is Let's Eat...
