Whataburger — Restaurant in Texas

I think the staff would rather be anywhere but here. When I was trying to order in the drive thru, a car behind me was blasting music. The person taking my order was getting frustrated because he couldn’t understand me. Once at the window to pay, they asked me to wait on the side for my food. Well I couldn’t move because there was a car in front of me. The guy who took my money at the window shouted at me, instructing me to beep my horn so the car in front of me would move. The staff wanted to get to the next person in line. So I beeped as told. When i beeped the car drove in front of me drove forward a bit. Then the passenger got out and wanted to physically fight me for beeping. One of the male staff actually came outside and watched after he heard this guy yelling profanities at me. He watched in amusement. It was the most awkward situation ever. Luckily the passenger eventually got tired of taunting me and decided to speed off after he failed at spitting on my car. I’d like to thank the staff at this establishment for teaching me a lesson to never visit this...

To summarize this location in 2021, the staff is in a big hurry so consistency from day to day will vary a lot.

Some days hot food! Sometimes not. If you customize your burger with grilled onions, they will be "grilled" a very short time and still taste like not-grilled onions. Add jalapenos? Here's 5 small ones. Sometimes a large onion rings is twice the size it was the day before, it looks like sometimes they just cook a medium amount and dump it in the large size container. But the day before, it was full to the top with a couple in the bottom of the bag!

Years ago this place was the KING of consistency. On it's best day today it's as good as ever, but it varies a lot which is why I usually go to another location these days. The new location on 1960 is exactly how a whataburger should be. That location is perfectly consistent. I would guess the training and management are different between these locations.

Located right on Sawdust Road off of I-45 in Houston Texas. It's easy to see from the Main Street and they have a good size parking lot. It's well paved and easy to park. When you come in you're greeted by cheerful servers. The food is easy to order if you like what's on the menu. The servers were very attentive and help me place my order. It is handicap accessible. The food came out fast and they brought it to my table. They also brought me extra napkins and catch up. The food was hot and tasted good. One Burger I had was very good and the fish sandwich was also very good. The floor was clean and the tables were clean. It was my first time at this location and I will be back again.
