My husband and I go on a Friday lunch date every week and have been looking forward to this place opening up for a while because we live down the street. Best bloody Mary’s we have ever had and I’ve had my share! Lol Unbelievable oysters with an incredible twist served with crostini bread instead of crackers! We love oysters, I’ve been eating them since I was a kid I used to go with my dad and get them so it’s nostalgic for me and you could tell they took it seriously as they aren’t from the gulf because the waters are too warm to get them. There is nothing like east coast oysters from cold waters if you know you know! The real surprise was we ordered the fresh grilled red snapper to share with Brussels sprouts and green bean and WOW! Unbelievably well executed dish! My family recently just got home from Costa Rica where I ordered the exact dish that was a highlighted special only served one night there at our resort and I can say this chefs was better by far. Our server was extremely kind and you could tell they are still learning so I give much grace in that department. Nothing wrong with learning and improving, it’s the attitude for me and he was so nice. I take away he had another very kind gentleman helping him, a kind manager and a cool gentleman in an awesome cowboy hat that made sure we liked our oysters and grilled fish. That’s impressive teamwork and they were all so nice. I wish I had gotten their names but plan on being back probably every Friday and hopefully will. Also I am not a fan of the table pay machine which I get it’s to expedite payment to move things along but have always had the server stare me down to watch me tip which is uncomfortable. Our awesome young man who served us respectfully walked away while I payed which only made me happier to give 20% to him because he deserved it. I don’t know anyone personally at this restaurant just to be clear as I read some sad reviews of one that even said the 5 stars must be fake. This one is legit and I can tell you my family also came on opening Sat weekend the week prior and understood they had just opened and feel it’s important to give second chances and time profect your passion so I’d encourage anyone reading those reviews to give it a shot for yourself. I look forward to going back tomorrow.

Ambiance: Pirate themed restaurant with a patio dining area, interior dining area, and bar! The bar is absolutely amazing - made from resin & driftwood with fun ocean/pirate themed items throughout. The bar area is definitely a highlight of the restaurant and so unique. The pirate theme is well-maintained throughout the restaurant, with some staff dressed up and fun novelty art/items scattered around to look at. Seafood, hot dogs/burgers, and other classic dishes available to order. Pirate themed cocktails & fun beers available like Kona Big Wave. We enjoyed dining at the bar! This is the perfect spot to celebrate summer, have a birthday, or just switch up the vibe. Great for birthdays, family dinners, themed parties, a unique date night, or solo dining at the bar. The food was really good. The grilled shrimp were seasoned well. The bbq burger was delicious (a bit messy to eat). We were asked to move down to accommodate another family and the restaurant comped us a free dessert - so the service is really great and the staff wants to ensure a fun dining experience. A bit on the pricey side for cocktails and some of the menu items, however the aesthetic and unique atmosphere is worth it. Onsite parking. Friendly staff & clean interior. We did find the tv placement being on a wall behind our seats at the bar a bit strange for anyone wanting to watch, but this felt like the type of place you go for the experience and not to watch tv! We will definitely be going back - fun theme & great time!

Update 4/2024: taking away 1 star for service. The waitress didn't seem to know the menu. I ordered Cannon Balls and 3 times she called them Canyon Balls, even after I corrected her. Ordered a Wedge Salad, and asked for it just like it's listed on the menu (with blue cheese dressing). she still asked what dressing I wanted and I repeated, just like it's on the menu. I had to tell her blue cheese is what's listed on the menu. 30 minutes after ordering we didn't have our food so I told waitress not to hold the salad and sandwiches for the Cannon Balls. She said they were backed up because they were busy. I looked around and there were only 5 tables of people. Then she said they're backed up in the kitchen because someone ordered ribs. As though sandwiches and salads can't be prepared while ribs are being worked on. We asked her to check and see how much longer and she immediately came back with our food which means she hadn't been running her orders and it was just sitting there waiting to be picked up. I asked for chipotle aioli, and she came back and said they were out, so I got ranch, and she still charged me extra for the chipotle aioli. Another waiter noticed we were out of drinks and had to tell our waitress. Another waiter brought us our ticket and said our waitress was busy with someone else's ticket. 2/2024: my new favorite place! Food is great. Friendly service. Nicely Decorated in theme with big tables, candelabras, and oversized chairs. Beautiful customized bar. My MIL is German and a hotdog snob, and she said "now that's a good hotdog!" And asked if I'd take her back next week. The wieners are the size of sausages. They have one hot dog that's wrapped in a hamburger patty and smothered in homemade chili. I can't wait to try it!! Everything we saw looked homemade (not frozen). I'm looking forward to trying their oysters and canon balls! UPDATE: went for visit #2. Hubby got the bacon cheddar waffle burger which had a good smokey flavor, and was so big he could barely fit it in his pie hole. I got brave and ordered the Hamdogger. Love that it's served between what I think might have been some type of French bread, instead of a hot dog bun. LOVE the fries/potato wedges!! There was so much of it, I took more than half home. Again, great service...

All weekend my husband and I planned for this date night and all weekend I said “let’s try that pirate place we keep passing”. Well what was supposed to be a fun night turned into heart ache. We walked in, not sure if it was a seat your self or to be seated place and a server came to seat us at a table. After being seated we gave our server a drink order. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to drink and I told my husband not to wait on me and order his. After bringing my husband beer (maybe less than 5 minutes) I gave our server my drink order and appetizer oder (three street tacos). 15 minutes later I got my drink but no appetizer, then he took our entree’ order. But still no appetizer. We thought, maybe they are behind but then we noticed three tables that walked in after us got their drinks and food quick, all the severs were behind the bar on their phones and we still had no food on the table. We walked in at 7:08, it’s now 7:55 still no appetizer. During that time period we couldn’t find our server so we walked to one of the the bus boys who was sitting on a chair behind us on his phone and asked him to get our server. Our server quickly came to the table. I asked him where our food was and he said it’s coming out soon and that he’s sure of it and I told him if we can just pay for our drinks and leave. He kept reassuring me that he’s gonna make sure the food comes out but it’s already 8 o’clock and we still don’t even have an appetizer. He finally agrees to let us just pay for our drinks so we can go find food and the manager never came the table to check on us. We pay for our drinks and left. While we’re pulling out of the parking lot the manager sends one of the bus boys over into the parking lot to give us a business card that says 20% off on the back. I think it would have been better if the manager actually came out and did not send one of his employees over to talk to us. That would’ve been more of personal redemption then a business card with your name on the back and 20% off. I’m really sad about it, we don’t plan on coming back but I hope others have a better experience...
