I've visited Yi Cha around 400-500 times.
It is, easily, the best boba place that we have in the Spring (and surrounding) area. It is clean, well kept, and they properly refrigerate things. There is plenty of parking. It's surrounded by restaurants if you want to visit as part of a date night/time out with the kids. Good place to come to chill/do your homework. There are two side tables big enough for a large group (4 people).
Drinks worth getting/vibe: (I don't drink coffee.)
You want a mix of textures: Kiwi Basil Green Tea with regular tapioca
You like kool-aid: Mixed Berry Green Tea
You want something dessert like: Mango or Strawberry Creme Brulee (That warm creme brulee mixed in is good.)
You want something that you might or might not like: Avocado Smoothie
You want to shake your drink together to mix the colors: Yi Cha Milk Tea
It's hot outside: Get one of the fruit teas.
It's cold outside: hot jasmine milk tea or honey lemon tea.
Comparison to other local shops:
The Teahouse: Go here if you want a larger topping/drink variety but the drinks taste worse/artificial. Less sitting room.
Feng Cha: Kinda standard. Nothing special, nothing wrong with it. Parking is dumb and limited.
Happy Lemon: Place is good - nice/more variety. Further away. More likely not to cook your bubble waffle as well. Probably the only place as nice as Yi Cha. Less sitting room.
Noe's Cafe: Just don't. Seriously. Don't.
Beard Papas: Only get the pastries. (And it's right next door to yi cha!)
The Boba Shop: I like that you can get dumplings/noodles here but the drinks are mostly just poorly flavored water. Thai Tea is good though.
Infuzion: Don't. Stomach problems galore.
Moo House Cafe: Yes. Get the mango sago.
Seng Seng Cafe: Kind of like The Teahouse but the drinks are actually good. Does "snow." Off 1960. Lots of seating.
Ulike Tea: They do yogurt over ice and it's a nice treat. Off 1960. Lots of seating.
Sharetea: The people are nice, can get very busy. Lots of parking in nearby garage. The drink menu selection is wide but you're only likely to find a couple things on it that you like.
Kung Fu Tea: Take people here if you don't like them and you want them to have a bad experience with you.
Rant related to other reviews:
The staff is kind and friendly. A handful of reviews want to toss out that they are "rude." They are here to take your order, serve you a quality drink (or snack), and they do so well. They are attentive and nice. They collect your beverages together so your order can be delivered all at once. They call out your order so you know it's ready.
The workers here don't exist to talk to you for 20 minutes while they are clearly busy, or help you figure what drink you are magically going to like and not complain about. You're an adult - look at the menu and figure out what you want to drink. If you don't know what you want - they don't know what you want either. Of course they answer questions and tell you about the drinks that are there.
They are making your drinks individually - by hand. It takes time and it can get slightly busy (they are popular for a reason.) I've never waited an overly long time long time for my drinks here. There is plenty of seating and wifi if you need to sit down/wait or want to spend an hour here doing your homework. If you look around and it's full of people ordering - it's obviously going to take more than 1 minute to get your drink.
Should you go here? Yes. Is it good? Yes. Are the prices reasonable/comparable to other places? Yes. Does it cost more to order on apps like Uber Eats? Yes. That's cause Uber Eats and other apps are greedy and charge a RIDICULOUS percentage to be on their apps. Is it convenient and costs less than having a car to get your drinks delivered? Also yes. What's the ice ratio like? Good to respectable. Some drinks have more ice in them than others naturally. Is the boba hard or...

So my son goes in with a 3 drink order plus one for himself and comes home with 5 drinks. I can eat a fruit and just because they think customizing it wouldn't taste as good, they give the customer the way its made without telling them, instead of as its written. When he gets home, I notice the extra drink, and 2 drinks are made incorrectly. When I call, they say to just dispose of the drinks, to come down and they'll refund the one, and replace the other. I know how inventory goes, so I tell my son, take the cups back with you after tossing the liquid. I try my drink and the boba is so hard Im afraid its going to crack a tooth, so I call them back and say I'm sending this one back with him to get the money refunded, eventho they told me to just dispose of the other 2. The said fine about the 2 refunds and 1 replacement. The original extra I tell my son to dump outside (milk product) and the hard boba one dump the liquid so it doesn't accidentally spill in the car, and they can see how hard the boba is. My son missed the trash can and on the floor. I took a picture incase they didn't believe we did discard the drinks. He returned with the original extra and the hard boba one cups. They took the cups, and said the owner now says we can't replace them, so now they have my money and drinks. Refuse to replace them eventho we weren't told to bring them in, the girl said she was new, and I didnt want her possibly getting in trouble with management.
He comes home with nothing and I call and they say the owner said you need to bring the drinks in, so I said if this is how you all are going to be, Im not going to drink these ones here, and return them all. 5 drinks in total charged, and the only one they didnt mess up was my sons.
Today I spoke with the owner, and he says the girl told you that you had to bring the cups in, I told him, the only problem with that is, they told me to dispose of the drinks b4 talking to you, I Had to speak to 3 different women that night, and the 2nd one saying the first girl is new, and barely speaks English? The 3rd girl speaks fairly decent English, and saying the same thing about the 2nd girl when trying to take down the correct order to prepare for us to pick up. When my son gets there and he gives them the cups and shows them the picture, which they didnt even ask us to originally do, they said they wouldn't replace as per the owner. The owner today said he would replace 2, called me a liar and said I dropped the drinks outside, which if that were the case I wouldn't have brought in the cups, I would have let them think they are still at home. I also told him to look at the picture time stamp it was taken well after I talked to them on the phone. I told him I dont want anything but my money back from his shop and since she told me to dispose of the drinks, without giving me my money back, I paid for product I didnt get now. I told him I'd be calling my credit card.
When I called my credit card, I found out, they gave themselves a 6.00!!!!! Tip on the credit card that I didnt authorize as well as that extra drink. Visa refunded my money and never again will I step foot...
