Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Springboro

While the food is always pretty good at this particular restaurant the service leaves something to be desired. Yesterday my wife and I ordered through the app on her phone online and we tried to use the special of the day which was a free Smoothie because of it being smoothie day As we tried to add the reward, it came up error and we couldn't put it through on our order. So when we went to pick up our order at the store, we tried to explain to the people working there that we didn't know how to get the free Smoothie because the app kept coming up error would they please give us the Smoothie now because we already ordered and we don't want to order again. All they kept saying was you have to order and then you have to ask for this first before you order or something like that and then you'll finally get it but we did not want to order again. They refused to give us the Smoothie when they could have just gone ahead and given it to us. So in return I'm forced to give them a poor review. As far as we're concerned that's poor...

I have been to this location many times and the two gentlemen that work there are always nice. However, today, I will unfortunately never return to this location again. My chip bag had a tear in the side so I did not eat them. I had also bought a wrap and immediately upon eating it, swallowed some sort of chemical. My mouth immediately felt like it was burning and had a reaction on my neck and chest. I went in and asked the staff what they use and instead of answering my question, offered to make a new one instead of apologizing or offering reimbursement. The girl who made the food (which I've never seen before) and the guy who always works there "examined" my food and smiled/laughed at each other. This is very serious and should be taken as such. I could suffer health issues because of this and am very worried. Shame on this location for not handling this situation properly. Whoever cleaned in-between orders or got chemicals into their prep station...

My wife and I greatly enjoy tropical smoothie and were excited that a new location opened up closer to our house (Springboro location). We've gone to this location 4 times now and each time we thought that the food and smoothies were considerably worse than the Centerville location. Today I had the displeasure of ordering a southwest wrap that was completely and utterly inedible. The "chicken" was grey (and extremely wet?) and the "eggs" were the same consistency as wet sand. Despite my initial hesitation, I decided to try eating the wrap and had to immediately spit out my bite and throw the rest of it in the trash. The management team appears to be cutting corners to save money and/or are lacking reasonable standards for food quality. Needless to say, we will now be driving the extra 10 minutes to the Centerville location to guarantee higher quality food and...
