Busken Bakery — Restaurant in Springdale

Today I had the worse experience in this store. I was clearly standing in line and an older white gentleman came in and started to look through the glass while i was standing in line, the attendant looked me in my face and stood there not saying a word and when i proceeded to tell her what i wanted, she then looked away from me started talking to the other gentle man who came in AFTER me. After I told her I was in line she still didn't acknowledge me and continued on with this customer, the manager who was busy came to assist me because she clearly could see what was going on and got my order so I could leave.. This is not a good look for Buskens.. Maybe this employee shouldn't be at the counter but maybe in the back until she can deal with everyone in public and just not certain groups. Was at the Kemper Rd Busken on Friday just before noon. It does not have cases full of different types of baked goods like photos reflect, or like I remember. The cases were all but gone. Variety was quite limited. It had mostly boxed goods; the same ones you can buy at grocery stores. Their boxed signature tea cookies are no longer buttery, slightly crisp with a soft dollop of quality icing that had a bit of almond flavor. They used to be delicious. I don't recognize them any more. Now they are a fake soft chew loaded with artificial flavors and preservatives. The raspberry coffee cake was no better. The dough was tasty, but the artificial filling ruined it. I am quite disappointed in how Busken has changed their products and the store...but they still have premium prices like you are getting something better...

UPDATE 1/2023 Dan Busken did finally contact me and apologized for the quality of those cookies and for disappointing me. He sent me a gift card for more than the amount I spent. My hope in Busken Bakery has been restored and I am happy they are standing behind their product.

Purchased a $58 tray of Christmas cookies and they were horrible. The icing was dark and discolored. The cookies tasted old, like they were made ahead of time and frozen. I complained on their Feedback website and no response. Very disappointed in Busken, they usually have better quality but it and the desire to fully customer satisfaction has dramatically declined.
