Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Springdale

Super rude! I hate to pull the race card, but I’m a Black woman and I walked into this store on the Fourth of July since everything else was closed. I wasn’t greeted at all when I walked in, just stared at. That wasn’t a huge deal, but still worth noting.There were two white women working, one younger and one a bit older. I said hello and explained that it was my first time there, so I didn’t know what kinds of bread they had. One of them responded, “The bread that we normally have,” rudely as if I hadn’t just said I was new to this restaurant. Then, without even asking me what I wanted, they just started making a footlong sandwich. They didn’t ask what kind of toppings I wanted or if I wanted anything besides meat and sauce. When I asked for toppings, one of them gave me attitude but eventually added them.At checkout, she told me the price, and I let her know that I only wanted a half sandwich not a foot long.I wasn’t planning to spend that much. I explained this gently, but they just said, “Well, we already made the sandwich.” As I was leaving, they started calling me ridiculous repeatedly even though I had been nothing but polite. Worst location in the area! Unfortunately I've given this location several opportunities to to change my mind but no luck. The food prep area is filthy, the dining area is filthy, half of which is the two employees home away from home. Several tables occupied with the personal belongings of the employees. The employees have a serious problem with making it clear they do not appreciate customers coming in and disturbing them. The ingredients are not fresh or handled properly, the meat is not fresh or stored properly handled. The portions are not to specification in a attempt to make the prepped toppings last until closing time so the two employees do not have to prepare more and the same with the meat very little meat on the sandwiches. Have never eaten at a Jersey Mike's before. Ate here today. Ordered one regular sandwich and a giant sandwich. Received 2 regular sandwiches but paid for a giant and a regular. Wasn't about to go back in and straighten it out because when I was in there one of the employees was shouting at a customer who was ticked off and left. I don't know what happened but completely uncalled for. How do you expect to stay in business when you shout at your customers?
