I have been looking for a new place to get food from Senegal. I use to go to Teranga's but the food was never consistently good, the customer service sucked, and the owner wtucked, and never wanted to take responsibility for poor quality food. So after service my husband noticed a Jollof sign where the turkey restaurant use to be. He went in and grabbed a menu, and we came back later that evening. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Those of you who follow me know that I don't play about my food or customer service. THIS IS IT RIGHT HERE! THIS IS IT!❤️ Not only were they courteous and pleasant, but the the food is AMAZING! While I was waiting, they gave me a little to taste and WOW!!! The plantains were cooked perfectly, the lamb is tender, the hotsauce is made in house and the onion Gravy is TO DIE FOR. My husband came in and and bought the ginger juice... 🤯🤯🤯 It just doesn't get any better then that. So good, fresh and full of ginger with a hint of sweetness. I'm hooked! If you're looking for a place to get great Senegalese/West African food... this is the place. Don't settle for bad customer service and wack food when you can come to this place. This is our new spot for West African cuisine and you should make...
Read moreWe stopped in for lunch last week and we both ordered the Fried Red Snapper. It's served over rice with salad, veggies, and plantains. We waited 35 minutes for the absolute worst fish we've ever been served. It had be fried until it was so overcooked that it was impossible to eat the piece I had. The rice and veggies tasted good. The plantains were so dry we couldn't swallow them. My husband had the bigger piece of the fish (the head) so he was able to eat a bit of the fish. Unfortunately for him - he felt ill for a day or two from it. I warmed up my rice for dinner that night. And an hour later I was in the bathroom with horrible stomach distress. I then started sweating and then vomiting uncontrollably until I had purged all of that food. I felt better within an hour of getting sick. I definitely won't be trying this...
Read moreMy brother and I found Jollof Grill and will DEFINITELY be back. The owner and his wife made us feel super welcome and answered any questions we had. We both ordered a lamb dish and it was delicious as were the plantains! The portion size was great value for the price. I love the brightly colored paint job they gave the outside building in an otherwise super bland area. This was food prepared with love. I can't wait to try to jerk chicken. And we loved how they made their own special juice drinks in house! It's really a carry out place, not dine in. I took one star off atmosphere only because they would benefit from better seating while you wait inside. We just waited in the car as food is prepared fresh per order. Thanks for...
