The atmosphere is really cool & the service was great. Mixed feelings on the food, but I would return regardless. We ordered menudo, gorditas, flautas, huevos al alabanil, churros, & fruit & 4 aguas frescas. Total cost was around $68. Jamaica & Limón y Pepino were great! Horchata was a little watery. The price is a bit high at $3.99/drink. The huevos al alabanil were really good. The eggs are cooked in salsa (not spicy at all) served with the standard refried beans, and potatoes (delicious)! The tortillas are homemade and very good. They only bring 3 at a time but our waiter was attentive at getting us more as needed. The menudo was okay but missing something for flavor. The gordita de chicharrón is the best non-dessert option. The salsa has a really good flavor. The churros were delicious! My favorite part!

This is one of my favorite places to go eat breakfast, lunch or dinner if I'm looking for real, fresh, and more natural Mexican food. A friend recommended it to us and we were not disappointed. Sure, it is different from other places. I think it is because we are used to those restaurants where they make their food with artificial flavors. This restaurant, on the other hand, offer natural, and on my point of view, healthier dishes and drinks. Service was phenomenal! We were served by a gentleman, I do not remember his name, but he was very nice and always making sure we had what we needed. My favorite drink: Naranjada, but for sure my favorite dessert was la concha con nata! Love it!! Pictures speak for themselves :)

Finally, great "Mexican" food. Shredded beef roll tacos! We are from San Diego and have been looking for real Mexican food, like that of Southern California. This is how you know it's real Mexican.... They have "cafe de la jolla" and "atole con avena". They also have shredded beef. I asked for the shredded beef burrito to be mixed with eggs, thus providing me a near "Machaca Burrito". Also, their Aguas are freshly made and not that powder stuff. Prices are so low!

Besides dessert, the atmosphere was my favorite part, but so many things went wrong on our visit. Starting with the service; there are four of us sitting at a table, and the server only chooses to take three of our orders. She brings out the food and one of our orders is completely incorrect. I wish I could tell you the server’s name but she never introduced herself. We get to the food and it’s pretty unseasoned for Mexican cuisine, the flautas look like the taquitos from Sam’s and don’t come with sour cream, the pancakes come a little dry, but the chocolate concha at the end was very delicious. If anything, I would come by again for takeout, skip the service, and order myself a concha. (Still tipped...
