Our visit to Lulu’s Noodles and Rice was one of those dining experiences that really stays with you. We happened to arrive very late in the evening—almost right at closing time—and instead of being turned away or made to feel like a burden, the staff greeted us with warmth and kindness. They didn’t rush us, they didn’t cut corners; they welcomed us in as if we were their very first customers of the night. That level of genuine hospitality is rare, and it immediately set the tone for a memorable meal.
The food at Lulu’s was absolutely fantastic. The noodles were cooked to perfection with that ideal balance of chew and flavor, and the rice dishes were both comforting and full of depth. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, as though the chefs wanted to make sure we had the best possible experience, even though it was the very end of the day. It never once felt rushed—if anything, it felt like extra care went into making sure we left impressed.
What struck me most was the atmosphere the staff created. Late-night meals can sometimes feel awkward, but here it was the exact opposite. The team was gracious, patient, and genuinely attentive, making us feel relaxed and welcome. They could have easily chosen convenience and asked us to come back another day, but instead they went above and beyond to give us the kind of service you don’t forget.
By the time we left, we were not only satisfied by the food but truly touched by the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Lulu’s Noodles and Rice didn’t just feed us—they showed us what hospitality should feel like. That combination of great food and even greater people is what sets them apart.
If you’re looking for a place where both the flavors and the service shine, Lulu’s should be at the very top of your list. Whether you come in early, during a rush, or even close to closing time like we did, you’ll leave with a full stomach and an even fuller appreciation for a restaurant that truly cares...
Read moreSo... I come here a lot. I like to go a few times before I rate a restaurant so I can give an honest review... unless it's absolutely horrible the first time. So far I've had two bad experiences and I think today was my last one. I got Pad Tai as I usually get... with extra peanuts... but I didn't see any egg. By the time I got to eat it the restaurant was closed, so I called the next day. I told the lady in the front that there was no egg and someone dumped 3 times the peanuts on top of the Pad tai. She said that she needed to see it if I had a problem with it. I understood that because people do try to get over, and I don't live far... no problem. So I took it back for her to see and she took a pair of tongs and searched for egg. She didn't apologize for the ridiculous amount of peanuts dumped onto the food... she just sent me on my way. I wondered why their ratings were so low, now I know... it's her! You don't treat customers that way. I spend my money at your restaurant at least three times a month, I'm a loyal customer... the least you could have done was apologize and remade the food. Instead... I walked away feeling insulted as she picked apart my food in front of me and pointed out what was egg and what was chicken🤯 With that said, I won't be back for a while, if at all. If you want your customers to remain loyal, treat them with dignity. Don't insult my intelligence and pick the food apart in front of me. Remake the order and make more money from me the next time.... that's how I send more customers and keep spending my money therr... but now, I won't do either. Guess I have to find me a new spot... which makes me sad... because I REALLY...
Read moreDefinitely the best Chinese food in the $8-9 price range we've found in Cincinnati. We got the curry chicken and the cashew chicken. They let me substitute extra vegetables for the chicken (I'm not a big meat fan, but none of their veggie options sounded like what I was craving). The curry was decent with a very mild kick. The cashew chicken was VERY good, and we were impressed with how many vegetables and cashews came with it. The meat was low quality, and my husband said if he ordered it again, he'd ask for extra veggies instead of the chicken, because the veggies really were good. Both dishes were served with rice. The meals were a decent size, enough for a snack and a full meal.
Because other reviews commented positively on their spring rolls, we tried those. They were quite small for costing nearly $1 each, about 3 inches long. But they were probably the best spring rolls we've had at a restaurant (my brother-in-law's family is Cambodian, so you can't beat homemade)
Overall, this won't become our favorite Asian restaurant (currently Uncle Yip's and Bankok St), but because of the price difference, we probably will eat here...
