Overpriced, Flavorless, and a Poor Dining Experience
This restaurant fell short in almost every category—flavor, portion quality, service, and atmosphere. While the portions may seem generous at first glance, they consist mostly of cheap fillers with little to no meat. At what cost? An overpriced meal that lacks both balance and taste.
I ordered the enchiladas, which, by definition, should have some spice and depth of flavor. Instead, they were bland and underwhelming, with barely any chicken or seasoning. The dish was about 95% carbs—just tortillas, beans, and sauce—making it a cost-effective choice for the restaurant but completely unfair to the customer.
The ceviche tower was another disappointment. It was excessively salty, almost as if they were trying to mask the lack of real flavor. Worse yet, the shrimp had an unpleasant odor and seemed underprepared, which is unacceptable for a seafood dish.
The mojito was another letdown—90% juice, 5% ice, and only 5% alcohol. At that point, I might as well have ordered lemonade.
Service was equally frustrating. Despite the restaurant being slow, our server checked in only every 15 minutes with a robotic “Todo bien?” while completely ignoring empty glasses and the need for refills. To top it off, when I asked if gratuity was included, she dismissed it with, “It was only $10,” a comment that came off as rude and unprofessional. The automatic 17% gratuity felt like an insult given the poor service we received.
As if the food and service weren’t bad enough, the atmosphere made the experience even worse. A live music band started playing, and the volume was unbearable. In such a small space, it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant—I couldn’t hear my own thoughts, let alone have a conversation with the person next to me.
In conclusion, this place is overpriced, lacks flavor, has poor service, and an overwhelmingly loud atmosphere. I will not be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable...
Read moreThis place is mainly a seafood restaurant From the menu to the walls and decor it’s pretty obvious Though don’t get me wrong they have other things as well on the menu A little something for everybody But their specialty is seafood When your seated your given a small little complimentary bowl with a shrimp soup and shrimp , like a sample size which is pretty cool as well as their complimentary salsa and chips I wasn’t a fan of the salsa too much it was very tomatoey (yes I just made that word up lol) I got the chicken quesadillas the waitress asked if I wanted it “con todo” (with everything) I said yes But not sure what “todo” really meant because it literally was just a chicken and cheese quesadilla lol What was the with everything? There was nothing more It was very dry Kinda wish it came with sour cream and more (I thought that was what con todo meant like it comes with pico de gallo sour cream lechuga etc) It was very overcooked and brown like it was cooked on a flattop grill , very dry flavor and greasy at the same time I probably should have asked for some sour cream but I don’t think it would have helped to be honest Hubby had the shrimp cocktail which I regret not getting cuz it looked reallll good He couldn’t even finish it They give you a lot of shrimp ! Definitely will come back and try other menu items I wanna try that shrimp cocktail for sure next time I should have just stuck to their seafood items lesson learned lol Will be back ! Also - the decor is amazing if you pay attention to the details of the booth and chairs they are handmade and embroidered with their restaurant...
Read moreJust moved back to Cincy after living in tx for 10 yrs, used to eat here when it was blue agave, happened to be in the area so tried it today. It was really awful, the service was very poor, we had to continue to ask for things, they couldn’t understand silverware, and had to send out someone to interpret - they served us food without a fork or a knife and were confused about the word silverware. We just ordered fish tacos, a side of beans and a margarita. The tacos were very unimpressive, the fish was like chopped up fried Gordon’s fish sticks, the beans were cold, and the margarita was not good, it tasted like limeaed. Maybe some of the other menu items are better, but everything looked very over priced and not worth trying, we weren’t very hungry just wanted some lunch items. They don’t serve tortilla soup which is what we were hoping for. We will never return here and definitely would not recommend, I’d give 0 stars if I could. We’ve lived in Austin tx for the last 10 years and we know tacos, not sure what they served us today. They need Robert Irvine, maybe he’d...
