Ordered a "sugar and spice" oatmilk latte, ... it was awful. Sugar and spice should not have a spicy heat to it. Sugar and spice consist.of cinnamon, cloves, allspice and other things in that line. This had a horrible spiciness to it. Others may love this place but we will not return.... We will continue to go to the one down the street. ....... RESPONSE: Hello, thank you for responding. If you have spicy drinks with cayenne, or any other spicy peppers in it you probably should make it known. This place is one of those random gems that you didn’t know was right there. Upon entering, the atmosphere is calm and quiet, but the seating area is spacious and open allowing for patrons to sit back, relax, enjoy their brew and scroll, study, chat…etc. all without disturbing the others around them. The Baristas on duty were extremely nice and knew the menu well and did an excellent job of guiding the less knowledgeable patrons to a drink that would fit their wants in a sweet sip. The Caramel Macchiato I partook of was delicious and rich with the beautiful notes of espresso I desired without the super disappointing taste of burnt roast that a TON of other shops in the area are plagued by. Easily becoming a favorite in the area for me :) I’ve been here a couple times so far, and I love getting the golden monkey latte. I also appreciate that there are bagels and açaí bowls and not only baked goods, because it offers a wider variety of options! I’ve gotten an everything bagel with avocado on it, and I can’t wait to try everything else offered here as well! The employees here are also so warm and welcoming, and make you feel comfortable when ordering even if it takes a bit to choose.
