Boycott Finneytown Larosas!!!!!! I am the Activities Director for a Finneytown long term care facility . Many of our employees order from Larosas and we use them for facility and community functions.
Twice a month we take our residents (elderly) on outings. They really look forward to getting out and enjoying being in the community as opposed to being stuck in the day-to-day of long-term care living.
Before we go somewhere to eat, I always call ahead because we are a large group (around 15 total - including staff). I made the call yesterday afternoon to the main line # of Larosas (they do not put out individual store numbers online). The operator then sent me to her manager who then connected me to the Finneytown location where I spoke with a young woman. I explained we intended to bring a large group of resident around lunchtime the next day. I went on to explain they were from the local nursing home and had 2 wheelchairs. She confessed they were having staffing issues and would likely only have one server but would still accommodate us. We had some further conversation about how *everywhere these days * is short staffed and myself and my residents were used to slower than normal service. I told her that I was going to call around but would likely still be there the next day.
Today before we loaded our wheelchair bus I called again. I followed the same protocol (calling the main line then being forwarded to the Finneytown location). This time I spoke with Jarrod - the manager. I told him we were bring a group shortly and explained how many and that we were from right down the road. I also inquired about their private dining room. He asked again how many? I said 15. His reply was. "OK. I will let my waitress know." I thanked him and that was the end of the call.
We loaded the bus. This is not easy. Some of our folks have difficulty walking, some are in wheelchairs, and we have some insulin dependent folks that need to eat fairly soon after treatment.
We arrived a few short minutes at the Larosas in Finneytown. We began to unload and several residents started to filter in. Once inside, we were stopped by an extremely rude waitress. She said, "You might as well load them back on the bus. I can't serve them." We immediately asked to see the manager. Jarrod came forward and stated he had told me on the phone that he would need to call me back (he did not) and also refused us service. We even offered to pay the $25 fee for the private room. They continued to decline to serve us, stating they were already at an hour and a half wait and stuff challenged. Several other patrons entered in behind us and were seated and served.
No apology was given. No real explanation other than "short staffed" was given. We were turned away. We had to load our residents back onto the bus and we went to Coleraine Larosas (we called ahead again just to be sure) and was given the best service ever at the Coleraine location and seated in their private dining room without a fee despite there being only 2 servers at that location. *It's important to note - we did NOT tell the Coleraine location how we were treated at Finneytown location so it wasn't that they were goino the extra mile to make up for the poor service at the other location. They were just providing their normal good customer service.
If you have an elderly person in your life you care about... if you have an aunt, uncle, grandmother, grandfather, mom, dad, etc that are aging and you care about their dignity and respect - do NOT go to Larosas in Finneytown on Winton road and Galbraith. The amount of humiliation and disrespect we were shown is staggering and we were definitely...
Read moreWho is owner of this location? He needs to be aware of awful experience and service at his location. Spoke with General manager (Adam maybe?) of location and he was rude with absolutely NO customer service skills. He made me feel hurt and angered, worse than before I interacted with him. We were ignored first 20 min. Servers were chilling and watching us wait to be seated without welcoming, seating or offering us a menu. After we asked for recognition we were told a party was coming in 30 min and they were short staffed so we couldn't order until after they were finished with dinner party. Which was weird. The 4vwaitresses were doing nothing so didn't make sense We were not allowed to even order drinks. Then to our shock another couple comes in and they are acknowledged, seated, given menus and allowed to order drinks immediately. The 2 were not the party of 30, they were white and we of course were black. We were there by my daughters request to do annual celebration of her birthday. We had only 3 adults and 4 children. I grew up in this Larosas watched it be remodeled and employees change over the years. Currently this Larosas is unacceptable to go to as even the person in charge has no common sense. Just look at other reviews over last few months. Yes we were left with no server. Staff was present but waiting on group coming in 30 min away so we were refused service. I understand there are staff shortages but most restaurants close their dining room IF they are unable to accommodate customers instead of offering up poor service. On a brighter note we left and took our money to the Colerain Larosas! Go there. They are absolutely wonderful! Fully staffed, nice servers, fast and great tasting food! We happily spent our money with them and was happy to tip them well. They were accommodating a party at same time of 30 but welcomed us right on in. This is our new Larosas though I live in Finnwytown. The college hill location works well also just dont go to Finneyrown location. We live in world of choices and trust me, I review many many restaurants you dont want to choose Finneytoen Larosas. They need a...
Read moreI am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience my mother had at your store. She was instructed by your staff to pay for three dressings, which were supposed to be mailed from Cincinnati, OH to Texas. However, we have not received any proof of shipment or communication regarding the status of the order.
I am extremely concerned that the payment was accepted without confirming the feasibility of shipping the products, which feels deceptive and unprofessional. When my mother visited the store to inquire about the status of the order, she was met with rudeness and a lack of helpfulness from both the manager and general manager, as well as the staff.
I expect this issue to be resolved promptly. Please provide proof of shipment or a full refund. If this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction by tomorrow, I will escalate the issue further, as I believe this situation falls under improper...
