Before and After Brewing — Restaurant in Springfield

My wife and I love it here. We come here almost every week, sometimes with our 4 year old (who loves it too). We've been here for brunch, dinner, beer, cocktails, coffee, pretty much all of it, and all of it interesting, a little different from your average pub, and excellent. It's elevated without being formal, interesting without being pretentious, and they guys who run it are extremely thoughtful with the food and drinks on their menu. They are also just good dudes.

We usually get one evening a week to do something for ourselves, and we always end up here because we can't think of a better place to relax and treat ourselves a little without breaking the bank.

Before and After is what having nice local things looks like. It's what having a place you can reliably get variety, quality, and a lil tipsy looks like, while still welcoming the whole family.

We live on the East side of town on Sunshine. It's a perfect place to have in our stomping grounds, and I suspect the more people who try it will quickly learn the same thing. I categorically recommend it to friends and family all the time. Try it out! The loaded...

I live in Springfield. When I searched for pubs in Springfield that serve food, I came across Before & After Brewing. Their menu shows that this pub at the Southern Hills Shopping Center, the same plaza as The Pitch Pizza & Pub, not only offers some food, but also a coffee-shop style coffee bar, just like Wire Road Brewing. One thing on their menu is chips with beer cheese. So I ordered some with a Mocha Latte, and I came to realize that they meant tortilla chips with cheese. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed both my mocha and my tortilla chips with cheese. I just wish they would make homemade potato chips instead. Doug and Dave are killing it. The beer has hit every happy taste bud and never disappoints. They are bringing back original beer styles but in a fresh way, without the ridiculous blends or obnoxious flavors that seem to be so common anymore. And the food! Hard to beat a big beautiful pretzel loaded with all the tasty add-ons. Delicious sandwiches. And then the wonderful flatbread and greens layered with sardines, salmon, trout, or caviar.
