I recently visited this restaurant for takeout and was extremely disappointed with both the service and the food. I ordered a rice water drink and specifically asked for easy ice. When I received my order, the cup was filled to the brim with ice, making it mostly ice and barely any drink. I politely pointed this out to Arturo - the person who took my order and asked if I could get the drink with easy ice, as I originally requested. Shockingly, he refused and instead proceeded to issue a refund rather than simply fixing the drink.
I was baffled by his response and asked if he would really rather lose a sale than just give me a drink with the correct amount of ice. He curtly replied that he was giving me what I wanted. I clarified that what I wanted was easy ice, not a refund. He then brought me back a much smaller cup of rice water with no ice—$3.50 for a small cup, or essentially $3.50 for a cup of ice the first time around.
On top of that, the food I ordered was disappointing—bland and lacking the flavor I was expecting. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. The employee’s rude and unhelpful attitude only made things worse. I don’t understand how a simple request for less ice turned into such an ordeal, but it’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here.
My family and I won’t be returning, and I recommend you take your business elsewhere where the food is actually good and customers are treated with respect and...
Read moreOnly been there twice and both times the service and the food were disappointing. Also, I'm not sure what was causing the horrid smell as we approached the building on our last visit, but if it wouldn't have been our friend's birthday, it would have had me turning right back around and getting back in my car. Worst chimichangas I've ever had. Ordered the enchiladas carnitas and the presentation looked like they forgot the carnitas and just flopped some on top of some cheese enchiladas. Only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because I, apparently, got all of the booze in my margarita that others complain about not getting enough of. At least I'm inclined to give it the benefit of the doubt that it was that and not the fact I had one and only ate a quarter of the meal. Service is spotty at best. First visit we couldn't find our server to order more drinks until we were finished with the meal. Second time I'm not sure if the server forgot about one of the meals or the kitchen didn't make it, but after nearly 10 minutes of waiting for it to come out, one of our party went to find out what happened. Either way, the server should have informed us that she or the kitchen messed up, but it was being handled. We...
Read moreWe had eaten here over the summer and the food had great flavor. Today it was like a totally different restaurant. Even the salsa they serve when you first sit down seemed completely different from our last experience-and not in a good way. Credit for the yummy crunchy tortilla chips though! We ordered tacos. Chicken and shrimp with a side of rice and beans. The waiter asked "soft or hard shells"? We were expecting the traditional corn tortillas with the tacos and served with onion and cilantro like we had last time. Instead they were flour, not even slightly grilled, with iceberg lettuce and not traditional Mexican cheese, but some kind of fake white flavorless something supposed to be cheese. Not even 1 leaf of cilantro. . . The chicken was quite salty. My wife said the same of her shrimp tacos. I also had ordered guacamole but the waiter forgot it. Probably for the better. Even though we knew our waiter had nothing to do with the cooking of our food, we did try to explain it was a completely different experience than it was over the summer. He just said "sorry". Needles to say , we not...
