Rancho Chico — Restaurant in Springfield

I'm very happy with the restaurant experience! I tried Rancho Chico for the first time Friday afternoon. Rancho Chico has excellent customer service, and the food is amazing! The reason I only rated 3 stars is because of the Door Dash delivery. I want to question if food is pre-made for delivery orders. I am a State Contracted Security Officer, and I can't leave my post. The Door Dash driver picked up my food and delivered it in approximately 5 minutes, so I can say he was not at fault. When I opened my food it was beautiful... Yet cold. I don't have access to an oven to reheat my food when I am on duty. Please ensure the orders are fresh, I absolutely love your food!!!! I was a bit disappointed. Update* I thought I would give one more try, so I Door dash and order of Shrimp Bowl add deluxe for a couple of extra dollars and my food arrived quickly as I am on Duty. It was cold. These orders are definitely premade. I am completely dissatisfied with the service. I will not order delivery from this...

Honest to God the place was awesome. Our server was very kind and patient with me as I practiced Spanish. Never made us feel rushed or unwelcome. So for me this was a good thing but keep in mind, portions are really big. Especially for the price I definitely got more than my moneys worth haha, lunch for tomorrow. Chips and salsa were tasty. I had the shrimp a la crema and dang it was so good. Delicious creamy sauce with a lot of shrimp actually. I tasted the carne asada my friend got and dang it was really good too. Perfect, exactly what the dish is supposed to taste like. The owner came out to meet us and they gave us each a piece of tres leche cake that was just heavy and moist and friggin delicious. We visited this past Friday. This was our first time and probably will be our last. The flavor was barely there for what we ordered. We checked this place out. Despite the mixed reviews we've heard and read about. I definitely feel this place has lots of potential to take the flavor profile up a couple of notches! But everything we ordered definitely was a letdown. My frozen Strawberry Margarita was really good! And my Aunt's Blackberry Mojito (might have gotten it wrong) she said it was good.
