Very seldom do customers walk into a fast food restaurant after 8 pm on a sunday, when business has already slowed down for the night and experience 4 great things from the only 2 teenaged people working there at that time. I'm gonna list those things first. 1. The restaurant was super clean. 2. Ladies room super clean. 3. The service was great, everything was as requested to be prepared. The girl at the counter was friendly and didn't get pissy while my hubby added and subtracted things from his sandwich. 4. Our food was really good. Both of our burgers and fries were hot, fresh ,assembled well and tasted exactly like you expect a good Whopper from Burger King to taste. Yes, there really is such a thing as a good Whopper and a bad whopper. There's 3 Burger Kings in Springfield and this is the only one we will go to now. Repeated nasty food from the other two consistently stopped us from wasting money elsewhere. We don't eat fast food as often as we used to ,so enjoying the food on a cheat day is important to us. You'll see that the food section is one star short of a perfect over all score. That has nothing to do with this location, staff, service, atmosphere or any other possible thing the location or staff could be responsible for. It is the sheer and utter disappointment in Burger King the Corporation for their representation of Fried pickles or as they call them, pickle fries. I love love fried pickles, I have eaten them in restaurants all over the US . I've never ordered any I disliked before. So good. Batter fried crispy, dipped in ranch ,bite into the crunch of the batter and pickle slice (or sometmes a wedge )In the center with a tiny bit of lingering pickle juice inside. It really is finger licking good. Not at Burger King. In their advertising, they call them battered and fried dill pickle spears. In advertising images they appear to be a small wedge. Kinda like KFCs fries. Small wedges. That is not at all what they are. Weighing in @ just under $5 per very small quantity per order, resides a deep fried product who's overly salty batter to pickle ratio is wayyy off.. I was struggling to taste pickle and I hadn't dug to the bottom of the little thing they came in yet, so I thought maybe I shouldn't use the ranch. Maybe it was masking the pickle flavor. So I tried one w/o ranch, then one more. WTH?? This damn thing is sallllltyyyyy!! I rinse my mouth and grab another one and open it up. I wanna yell YALL right now with an accent like a southern girl to emphasize to everyone how bad and overpriced they are. I had been looking forward to trying them and we only chose to get fast food that night because I wanted to try the pickle fries before they're gone. Limited time only item. Save your money, I'm not eggagerating anything. I ordered the LTO pickle fry whopper too. Still nasty. These 1 are not spears, they are a single string shred. 2. They are not the size of the semi thick wedges shown in advertising pics either. I picked them off the whopper and went up and asked the girl at the counter for the garden items thatcome on a reg whopper no cheese because I don't like the pickle fries. She apologized and went and got tomatoes pickles etc from the guy cooking. When she handed them to me she asked if I wanted something else to replace them since I didn't like them. I told her no,but thanks for offering. I have fries and a burger still and I always wind up taking stuff home anyway. I asked her if she liked them. She said she hasn't tried them yet and probably won't because everyone she's spoken with while at work say that they are disgusting. I brought them home instead of throwing them out there so I could use my phone I'd left home(better pics) to take pictures of Burger Kings current way of ripping off the public. Hugely overpriced disgusting food sold in very...
Read moreWe pulled in and ordered, went to the window and paid and then was asked to pull through and park because it was going to be a moment for our food to finish. Between completing my order at the order board and no longer willing to wait, a full 24 minutes had passed. At which point I decided to get out of my vehicle and enter the store(defeats the purpose of a drive through). I immediately noticed the exact same types of burgers/sandwiches sitting under the heat lamp. An employee was just then bagging the order slowly and was stopped a couple of times to answer questions inquired by another of his associates. No napkins were placed in the bag nor a receipt. I reluctantly took the order instead of asking for my money back. Upon returning home, I found that the chicken was old let alone cold right along with the other items. The worst part was the poor quality of the burgers. No exaggeration, we had a few burnt burgers and buns. When, I called to speak to a manager, I was told that whom I was speaking to was one of the managers present. After explaining the situation, he hands me off to speak to another manager who seemed annoyed having to speak to me due to her being positioned at a drive through. She didn't seem sincere in her apology and was quick to try and rush me off the phone. I'm not a person who jumps on here to waste my time writing all this believing my self to be some kind of critic. I am simply a person who works hard for my money supporting family and foster children. So as an example I did snap a picture of one of the "Kings" famous burgers. If what I said seemed an exaggeration, let the picture be your...
Read moreI ordered online and when I got to the restaurant they told me they wouldn't take my order for ten minutes. I let them know my order was already in and I was just picking it up. They informed me they wouldn't make it for 10 minutes. I said I wanted a refund then. I was told I had to do it in the app. I asked how and as one woman was trying to help me, but didn't really seem to know, the shift lead told me again he wasn't going to make the food. I told him I'm trying to get my refund and he slammed the window closed. I went into the lobby and demanded a complaint number. I got a bogus number that was disconnected. I was given another number that had a totally different area code and has been busy every time I've called it. There were 6 other cars in line when I arrived and no one waited, but I was trapped, because I already paid. The shift lead did finally give me a refund. As I was inside they literally served someone, on foot, through the drive through, which I know is completely against the rules.
The reason they told me they wouldn't serve me is that there were multiple people going on breaks and the pets on the headset can't cook at the same time. Since I didn't need anyone to take my order, no one needed to be on the headset, also, if brakes had been rotated, one person at a time, there would have been someone to make food while another was on the headset. I used to go there all the time. This whole thing was ridiculous. Offering online is supposed to make things faster, not two you...
