We took the kids to Springfield for a 1 day outing to see some Abe Lincoln stuff and to see a WWE event. We decided to have Pizza for dinner and didnt want to eat at a chain pizzeria, so we googled pizza restaurants in our area. Fulgenzi's had a few great reviews and was close to where we were headed so we headed over to Fulgenzi's for dinner. Well let me tell you I think this place is named Fugazi's because it serves FAKE food!!! The pizza had to be a frozen pizza, which is ok if your at home and sold for a few bucks but not served at a restaurant and sold for 20 bucks. My son had pasta, which looked and tasted like a can of tomatoe paste poured over noodles. The hot buffalo chicken was as hard as a rock, and the bread sticks were something I could buy at the grocery store. We spent a little over $50 here and it was a complete waste. We live in Chicago were most pizza is good and some is Great, and then there is some thats bad. This fulgenzis or fugazis is beyond Chicagos worst. Who serves...

We used to only get our pizza from here until two weeks ago. The delivery driver was given a wrong address and we had to guide him over the phone to our house. When he got here the pizza was completely wrong. We decided to call because we were starving and their pizza isn't cheap!

The person who answered the phone said our order was put in right, but made wrong and that it would be another forty minutes for delivery.

This time, we decided we try something that wasn't pizza. My boyfriend decided to try a horseshoe, and I got the shrimp. He asked the cheese sauce to be on the side so it wouldn't get soggy. However, they package their food in foil so everything gets soggy anyway (super gross) and they forgot his cheese sauce - crucial to a horseshoe. Upon delivery, we tossed the food directly in the trash. At almost twenty five bucks, it was such a waste. I've had similar foods delivered with no problem, so it must just be a business flaw. Never...

Service was terrible. We called first to see if they were open on New years eve, was hung up on once then called again to get a "open til 2." We got there at 1p, and were rushed in our ordering by a disgruntled old woman who clearly hated her life and being at work. Even after our numerous we need a few minutes before ordering. My friend who's birthday it was, ordered and wanted a drink. She asked what they had to drink. The lady working didnt answer but I told her from reading the menu Pepsi products. She stated she wanted a diet Pepsi and the old lady at the register rudely told us she did not care what we wanted to drink and we can get it ourself, she needed to know the size. We finished our order, she took our money and handed back change, no receipt, no thank you. Food was okay, nothing special. Served on paper plates and styrofoam. We both had never been and went be back. No dramatizations here, clearly stated as happened in case anyone...

Craving a smash burger served with a side of warm, family-style service? This is the place! I had the double cheeseburger with sautéed onions—made to order, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. The fries were fresh and crisp, the perfect pairing. The service was outstanding—genuinely welcoming and friendly from start to finish. I’ve heard the chili mac is a must-try too… I’ll definitely be back!

Nice looking place, but the food was bland. Ordered chicken breast with sautéed mushrooms. Got a tiny, skinny half a breast, unseasoned, and mushrooms from a can which were also lacking flavor beyond "that's a canned mushroom doused in oil". Didn't feel welcome, didn't feel like my business matters. At least my son enjoyed his pizza, and my other kid got my meal as well as theirs.

Very cool classic, old school Route 66 style diner/restaurant. Good, tasty food selections, from pizza to burgers with an amazing retro look, from vintage gas pumps to vintage advertising, this place is like a step back in time to when Route 66 was big in the area. Polite, courteous and attentive employees. A great experience for the whole family or Route 66 travelers.
