Georgia Macs — Restaurant in Springfield

So I wanted to find a place that was showing the U.S. men's national soccer game. There isn't much of that around, so I looked up the American Outlaws 417 chapter to see where they hang out and watch the games. Sure enough, they mentioned that Geordia Mac's was the place for all the games, so of course, that's where I decided to go. First time and a good chance it's the last time. There was a good crowd, lots of tv's with lots of sports, the soccer game wasn't on any of them by the way, no volume and not even music playing, just a bunch of people noise. Bar had plenty of open seats, I'm excited to see Voodoo Ranger on tap, so I wait for the bartender, who did make eye contact, but couldn't muster a sound to welcome me in some way. After a few minutes of preparing drinks, she disappears. Here comes another bartender, and we also make eye contact, and she too couldn't make a sound to welcome me. Friday night my wife and I went to Georgia Macs for fish. Our daughter told us that they had pretty good fish. She was right. We almost did not stay when we walked through the door, as it is more of a bar than a restaurant, it was very loud when we walked in. We decided to stay and eat. It was worth it. The place was full of people from the time we got there. It was clean. We were greeted by our waitress Brittany. She hustled the whole time we were there. She had many tables and not only was she the waitress but made her own drinks for her customers. Even though she had many tables none of them suffered service. She was great. For an appetizer we had the Cajun dip. It was like a seafood bisque on steroids. It was amazing. We both had the catfish with mashed potatoes and a side salad. Tried this for the first time today. Our server was nice and she corrected what she could.

We were a party of 3. They were out of sweet potato fries. The fries that did come the first time were cold. The waitress did have them make us fresh fries after she picked some up and felt them. Lol

Their menu is pretty limited. My bacon burger (without cheese because I didn't see it didn't have cheese on it) was good but a little light on meat. My burger came out on my friends plate with the loaded fries she ordered. The loaded fries were awful the cheese sauce is not good. The waitress did adjust our bill for the problems without asking but it seems a new restaurant would be focusing on details and have the products on the menu this early in the game. They may also want to add more common bar foods to the menu like fries mushrooms. It is not likely we will go back. First impression...
