We had heard all the talk about this place but had yet to experience it ourselves until we made reservations for our anniversary. With no hesitation, I can clearly state we WILL be back! If you're confused on the fusion of Italian and Mexican like we were, don't be. Fusion is the correct word over blending as your mouth could not make up it's mind on what it was tasting. So incredibly good! The night started with our fantastic server who was attentive but let us drive the night with when it came to when we were ready to order. We prefer it this way so as not to be rushed. Once it was time to order, we started with a fabulous bottle of wine, a super Tuscan. It was so fabulous that we ordered a second bottle. I wish I could say we tried a variety of things on the menu, but my husband and I both ordered the same dish...shrimp diablo. It was so incredible that once I started, I couldn't stop eating. There are not enough stars for this dish. So many flavors and paired with the wine, it was a homerun. The other thing we noticed before ordering was there is a large variety of dishes we can't wait to try. A lot of restaurants you might see a couple of dishes that jump out at you, but here at Show Me Chuy, I bet we picked at least a dozen dishes that we wanted. It's going to make decision making very difficult on the next visit. We both said at the end of the night that Show Me Chuy is on our list of repeat. Do yourself and your tastebuds a favor and go to Show Me Chuy!

This was a date night for my wife and me. We spent around $100 including tip, with just water—no alcoholic beverages. Food: The salads and bread were average. The Caesar salad was a bit bland, and the house salad came with a house dressing that had a noticeable olive flavor. The focaccia bread with herb and garlic spread was dense, and the spread itself lacked flavor. We started with a mushroom and crab meat appetizer, which was excellent. It featured a large portobello mushroom topped with crab meat and cheese, served with a flavorful sauce that included grilled peppers. For mains, my wife had the crab cakes, which were well-portioned. The center was cold initially, but the waiter quickly had them remade—great service. I had the octopus and shrimp, which was delicious. The shrimp were large, and the rice and vegetables were perfectly cooked. Service: The staff was attentive and responsive, especially when addressing the issue with the crab cakes. Overall: We were very pleased with the food. We don’t usually order salads, but decided to this time. While the food quality would definitely bring us back, the pricing felt a bit high for what we got. One tip: be sure to ask about the price of the specials before ordering.

Food: Ingredient Quality 10/10 Some of the freshest seafood I've eaten in Springfield. The shrimp, scallops, octopus, claws, mussels and red snapper was extremely tasty and fresh. Menu Variety Loved the combination of Mexican flavors and Italian. A wide variety menu with something for everyone. Value Definitely got value for my money. We had so much seafood and drinks and dessert and our bill was very reasonably priced. Service: Attentiveness The most friendly staff. Payton the bartender gave exceptional service and amazing mixed cocktails. Attitude The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely be back. Ambiance: Atmosphere Loved the at your family home for Sunday dinner vibes. Such a cozy and inviting space. My absolute favorite is sitting at the chefs kitchen and watching your food being made. Location Great location, very close to highway 65 and easy to find. Parking Lots of parking available I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my visit. The best part of coming to this restaurant for me is the big and funny personality of Chef Chuy. We are definitely customers for life and can't wait to go back.

We discovered a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant heart of Springfield. If you’re looking for lunch or dinner options, pause right here—this is the place you've been searching for!

For those planning a gathering, their state-of-the-art party room accommodates up to 35 guests, making it perfect for team celebrations. Strategically situated above the bustling restaurant, this spacious and inviting room ensures privacy and comfort while you enjoy an exquisite homemade meal. Whether you're having a casual lunch or a festive dinner, this restaurant truly elevates the dining experience!

As for the food, everything on the menu looked fantastic! It was hard to choose just one thing but after much thought, we ordered the strawberry salad (absolutely amazing!) and the homemade chicken noodle soup. I'm not usually one for dessert, but at this place, you absolutely need to try it. The chocolate cake was truly remarkable.

This is a family-owned and operated business, and you can tell from the moment you walk in that they genuinely care about your dining experience. All the staff members were friendly and looked genuinely happy, which was refreshing to see.

The owners put their heart and soul into this restaurant, and it shows in everything they do. Give it a...

Great food, great atmosphere and Chuy is a great host! Experience is a good value for the $$$. Drinks were a little slow to come. I had the pork shank with the Mexican sauce. That made a marriage of flavors that was delicious. Caesar salads were tasty. Wife had the mango margarita and loved it. Cozy, just the right size restaurant where conversing is easy. Highly recommend. UPDATE: August 30 visit. WHAT A DISASTER! Party of six seated at 6:00 pm. Chuy and Judith absent. Mathew was our waiter. Very nice young man that had no clue what his job was. Clearly NO training. Could not open a bottle of wine-we had to ask to open both bottles. Would reach across a guest to clear another guest’s dirty dishes. SHAME. On management. After one hour salads arrived and were wrong. Shortly here came three meals. The other three apparently never were turned into the kitchen. (Mathew blamed a language barrier.). At the 2 1/2 hour mark meals were complete and some ask for coffee. There was none and it had to be brewed. All this time, water glasses were never refilled. Miraculously, all the food was good. There was a very clear need for training and management presence. Have had good experiences previously, but not certain we...
