We had heard all the talk about this place but had yet to experience it ourselves until we made reservations for our anniversary. With no hesitation, I can clearly state we WILL be back! If you're confused on the fusion of Italian and Mexican like we were, don't be. Fusion is the correct word over blending as your mouth could not make up it's mind on what it was tasting. So incredibly good!
The night started with our fantastic server who was attentive but let us drive the night with when it came to when we were ready to order. We prefer it this way so as not to be rushed. Once it was time to order, we started with a fabulous bottle of wine, a super Tuscan. It was so fabulous that we ordered a second bottle. I wish I could say we tried a variety of things on the menu, but my husband and I both ordered the same dish...shrimp diablo. It was so incredible that once I started, I couldn't stop eating. There are not enough stars for this dish. So many flavors and paired with the wine, it was a homerun.
The other thing we noticed before ordering was there is a large variety of dishes we can't wait to try. A lot of restaurants you might see a couple of dishes that jump out at you, but here at Show Me Chuy, I bet we picked at least a dozen dishes that we wanted. It's going to make decision making very difficult on the next visit. We both said at the end of the night that Show Me Chuy is on our list of repeat. Do yourself and your tastebuds a favor and go to...

As for the food, everything on the menu looked fantastic! It was hard to choose just one thing but after much thought, we ordered the strawberry salad (absolutely amazing!) and the homemade chicken noodle soup. I'm not usually one for dessert, but at this place, you absolutely need to try it. The chocolate cake was truly remarkable.

Read moreGreat food, great atmosphere and Chuy is a great host! Experience is a good value for the $$$. Drinks were a little slow to come. I had the pork shank with the Mexican sauce. That made a marriage of flavors that was delicious. Caesar salads were tasty. Wife had the mango margarita and loved it. Cozy, just the right size restaurant where conversing is easy. Highly recommend. UPDATE: August 30 visit. WHAT A DISASTER! Party of six seated at 6:00 pm. Chuy and Judith absent. Mathew was our waiter. Very nice young man that had no clue what his job was. Clearly NO training. Could not open a bottle of wine-we had to ask to open both bottles. Would reach across a guest to clear another guest’s dirty dishes. SHAME. On management. After one hour salads arrived and were wrong. Shortly here came three meals. The other three apparently never were turned into the kitchen. (Mathew blamed a language barrier.). At the 2 1/2 hour mark meals were complete and some ask for coffee. There was none and it had to be brewed. All this time, water glasses were never refilled. Miraculously, all the food was good. There was a very clear need for training and management presence. Have had good experiences previously, but not certain we...
