Im giving this restaurant an over all 3 star for start up. I know that with them being opened only 3 weeks and a half with time things will improve if they take in the feedback with grace. If you want to combine the price with the taste then it’s perfect. I for one like the broccoli taste- although it came out cold I still ate it, I didn’t like the boiled eggs because it tasted like it sat in sour water for sometime after being cooked. The crab soup my husband didn’t like much, it tasted like canned vegetable soup with added hand shredded crab meat for taste. The combo A that brings mussels, shrimps and crab legs is what we got. Not bad!! It filled me and my husband up with an added extra 1/2 pound snow crab legs. We ordered it with old bay seasoning—can never go wrong with old bay! The gingerale tasted like the dish soap residue on it making it taste a little soap and soda lol I’ve had that at home sometimes so I don’t judge on that! Haha. We didn’t order anything else but I’m not here to bash the place I’m here to give feedback to improve as this place has potential in its future. I don’t care about it looking like TGIFridays inside, so ppl complaining in the reviews about it is beside me, and because I know we need more seafood places like this around the area, I for sure know this place has potential, staff is friendly that’s a plus, I would still recommend this place, so it can have more business, more income equals prestige quality all around. I’d Go back!

Jason’s Crab House – Springfield, VA ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jason’s Crab House is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Springfield. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. Their happy hour $1 oysters are unbelievable — super fresh, sweet, and briny. Honestly, I’ve paid $4–$5 for oysters at fine dining restaurants, and these are just as good. Don’t let the price fool you — these oysters taste like they came straight out of the water. On Mondays, the $10 burger combo is another great deal, and the burger is solid. Tonight, I also tried their blue crab, and it was fantastic — fresh, sweet, and full of flavor. Add to that their all-you-can-eat crab night on Tuesdays, and you’ve got a place that knows how to keep seafood lovers happy. Between the quality, the value, and the friendly atmosphere, Jason’s Crab House is a great addition to Springfield. Highly recommend it — I’ll definitely be back as a regular.

Nice to see this restaurant open again. Went for lunch. Chain restaurant feeling inside. Bar area was nice. I would recommend to sit at the bar (large and multiple televisions) and enjoy a small meal with drinks (next time will review the cocktails. Did not try any cocktails this visit). The dining area was very low lite and sad feeling. All the staff were very kind but the restaurant overall felt sad. Better happy hour prices would be nice and to make the hush puppies corn meal style and not whole kernels of corn in a ball and to lighten the salt on all of the food. All of the food was oversalted. The fish and chips is cat fish. Food was very large portions.

I want to preface this review by stating I did not have a bad experience and I will likely be returning. That said, this restaurant has only been open a few weeks and I hope they take my criticism to heart because I love having a seafood option where I can get a bushel of crabs so close to home.

The good: the server was attentive, and the blue crabs were cooked perfectly.

The bad: they were out of x-large and jumbo crabs which is odd considering they've only just opened, the corn on the cob was a soggy mess, for whatever reason they didn't provide enough crab cracking implements for all parties of our table and then when asked for more the response sounded as though they may not have enough on hand. The men's room was kinda dirty and the paper towel dispenser was empty. While ordinarily I wouldn't care about paper towels, I find it disappointing that a newly opened restaurant didn't have their bathroom better stocked or maintained.

The last comment on my experience is that our party of 6 consisted of 2 toddlers who didn't order any food or beverage. They ate off the adults plates at the table. While I understand the policy is that parties of 6 or more have automatic gratuity added I did find it odd the 2 toddlers who hadn't ordered anything were figured into the table count. We would have tipped the 20% regardless, but the receipt also wasn't entirely clear as to the automatic gratuity being added. It was listed as a "service charge". I think more transparency on when the automatic gratuity is utilized would help to set customer expectations. I don't question their policy, merely how it is relayed to their guests.

Overall me and the other members of my party enjoyed ourselves, and our meals. The crabs being as well prepared as they were will have us coming back again, just hoping 'Jasons' can make some subtle adjustments to improve the...

This place is awful! Are these reviews real? I was first of all shocked to see the chairs and tables being used from TGI Fridays in there. My chair was very old and shaky. Fine, I can get past that. Our server, Jose? or something like it was sweating profusely and reeked of alcohol. Not sure if he had been drinking before or during his shift but that was a very strong smell. He was friendly but inappropriate by making small weird jokes to us. Never refilled our drinks, or checked on us...also never went over the menu with us which is not the easiest menu to understand. He was running around most of the time so we couldn't truly get the full understanding of things. As a person that eats out regularly, this is not the norm anymore. It was just bad service overall for a new restaurant. The food was definitely not fresh seafood. I feel like they possibly bought these seafood items from Sams club or Costco. I don't normally leave reviews on Google but I overheard a two other waiters practically begging their patrons to leave reviews. Our server did not ask us to so I assume he knew we were not impressed. Asked for the check twice, he continued to run around confused or intoxicated. Everyone seemed to be confused during the time we were in the restaurant. Place seems to be run by inexperienced kids who cater to a certain race of people. We will stick to Chasin Tails and the other Seafood boils in the area. Save your money and time. Sorry...
