A great place to start your visit of Springfield. A lot of good information as well as a few displays that show the law office and post office as it was in the bygone era. Whilst currently undergoing renovations, you will find the staff to be very knowledgeable and friendly. Be sure to get your own copy of the Springfield Passport that'll highlight the various key places of interest.

The staff here is excellent and has answers for just about any question you might have. Definitely worth stopping here before venturing around town, even if you visited before!! Tons of brochures to be had. There's also a re-creation of Lincoln's law office as this is the building he practiced in. Street parking is free for 2 hrs at meters that are not gold. Those are an hour.

A great place to start a magnificent walking experience. The center is actually in the same building that Lincoln had his law office. Across from the Old State Capital and 4 city blocks away from the Lincoln home and other historical buildings. Take a walk and soak up the 1800 history of everydayife.

Very helpful. Also has souvenir store. Free tickets for a tour inside President Abe’s house. Had continuous tours and plays in theaters at the center. The tour guide was very nice and patient. You can do a self tour in few other houses around President’s house. All young boys were very curious about...
