McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Springfield

Good food. The French dip is excellent. I would order again. Fast service..good price. I'm disappointed, we called to order sandwiches for our family Christmas on 12/29. My wife specifically asked what our total would be for three trays to feed approximately 25 guests. They told my wife that the total would be ready when we picked up the sandwiches. But they would send us a email that explain everything. Now keep in mind my wife asked how much we would need to feed that many people. One tray is 5 baguettes cut in half should feed 10. So we ordered 3 trays to make we had enough if anyone wanted 2nds. My wife and mother in law went to pick up the trays. The bill was $256 and change. Now remember they wouldn't give us over the phone. We never received the email. If they would told us a head of time. We would have changed something or went a different route. Normally, this McAlister's location does a pretty good job, both in store and for pickup. Today, I ordered on the app and then picked up my order inside. I requested a dressing/spread on my sandwich that's not normally on it, which, while it was on the receipt, was not put on my sandwich. Additionally, the meat was very fatty. I'd estimate 1/8 to 1/4 of the meat was fat, which I was unable to eat (please note, I understand that meat will have fat on it. That's fine. The quantity on my sandwich was excessive). The sandwich was put together sloppy - half the meat was hanging outside the bread, so I had to essentially reassemble my sandwich when I got it. My other items were as ordered. Heavy set blonde chick acted like she either couldn't hear us or understand us until my wife after repeating it several times raised her voice loud enough where she had no excuse to say she couldn't hear us (the people in the kitchen heard her ) then when our order came out it I told my wife to check it once we were in the car and sure enough it was wrong when we went back in her manager apologized and preceded to remake the order but the cashier looked at me and my wife and gave us a sarcastic smile as if to say she intentionally had punched our order in wrong I get so sick of people in customer service acting this way if you dont want to do your job and be nice then dont come to work or go work in a factory somewhere away from people so noone has to deal with you I will not be back to...
