I had such great hopes with all the positive reviews. Me and my family arrived on a Saturday, 6:30, we thought it was going to be packed, but there wasn't a single soul there, kind of odd, but we still proceeded to enter. First of all, each empanada is about half the size of a Mc'ds cheeseburger, and they are $5.50 ea. Still, we seen on top of the counter that they had a special of 12 for $45, still seemed a little steep but proceeded to order the flavors we wanted. Girl at the counter waited until we were done choosing the flavors to let us know that this particular special, its only for 1 day a week, not Saturday. I asked, then why do you have it out today? she just looked at me and smiled. I tried to order other flavors, but everything I would ask about, they didn't have. At the third option they said they didn't have, Me and my wife left.

Such high expectations, I came here about a year ago and everything was so much better then, service, price, and atmosphere.

Update - 6/13/23 In response to the owner, We came in the restaurant speaking Spanish that is also my first language. My wife also knows how to prepare empanadas, although it is true they take a long time, it does not take 2 hours to make a small batch. If you are preparing a large batch, then yes. The fact of the matter is that you have been open for 2 years already, so you are not...

Tried this place for the first time today and no joke, came home and ate what we got, loved it so much, we GOT BACK IN THE CAR AND DROVE BACK AND GOT MORE!! 🤣 I have had empanadas before but not nearly as good as these. Seriously amazing food, this is top 3 restaurants in Springfield!!

It’s a family owned business, and everyone was so kind. Mom, dad, and two sons were there today. Their son was SO helpful and kind and talked to us for maybe 20 mins while we figured out what we wanted to order. Such a cool kid!! Mom was cooking and congratulated us on our recent marriage. She puts so much love into her food and you can really taste it! They threw in a few freebies because it was our first time there aswell!

We got the spicy beef, sweet corn, banana split, dulce de leche, and mushroom. They were all seriously amazing. The dough is so perfect it’s unlike anything we’ve had before. The chimichuri is also amazing. Everything is homemade and you can definitely taste it.

Seriously, try this place if you haven’t already. They got two life long customers today!! We will...

The most delicious and authentic empanadas I’ve found in a very long time. They were made fresh, so it was understandable that a couple flavors were out of stock. We tried the spinach, beef, spicy beef, quesadilla, chorizo, carnitas, and dulce de leche. Between 4 people we were unable to finish the 12 empanadas we ordered. They are BIG. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming. With fun murals on the walls. Customers are encouraged to draw or write a message, creating a fun artistic feel. Each delicious empanada comes marked with its type, so no guessing which empanada is which kind. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we had to get a box to-go because (did I mention) these are BIG empanadas. Finally, the service. As a family run business, the cashier/waitress was so polite. At the end of the meal she asked if we wanted to meet her father, the owner. He was amazing and so excited to hear how we found his place. It is a place we will be returning to each time we visit...

I just got back from a mission trip to Paraguay and had several “jamón y queso” (ham and cheese) empanadas there. I was excited to see that Pampas also had them! Plus Argentina is neighbors with Paraguay, so there were other familiar items on the menu like choripan and milanesa. They also have yerba mate for purchase behind the counter (tough to find here). I ordered the ham and cheese and the sweet corn empanadas with the garlic sauce. The ham and cheese was delicious, and so was the garlic sauce. I didn’t like the sweet corn one only because it had peppers in it, which wasn’t listed in the ingredients. I don’t like peppers and also have an intolerance to them. I asked the young man who served me if it was okay to swap it out for another ham and cheese and he didn’t even question me. It was just over $10 for the two empanadas and garlic sauce, which I felt like was very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.
