On Monday morning I ordered a large nonfat caramel mocha. When I got to work and went to drink it, it was a regular coffee. Two things here, 1)is the cost difference and 2) it's not what I ordered. I called right away, explained what happened. I was asked if I could come back to get the correct coffee. I was not because I was already at work and clocked in. Now, asked when I could return and I explained that I would be working off site until Thursday morning. She replied that was fine, she took my name and the expected time. I provided my name and to expect me between 7:30- 8:00 am. Now, this morning I went at 7:50, upon ordering, I explained that this coffee was a replacement for a wrong order. At the window to pay, he said that he had to get the food manager to ok it. I replied sure, that's fine. Now comes a lady along with him and she said when an order is wrong it's usually corrected the same day. I explained the conversation from Monday and that I couldn't just leave work and it was approved by the person to get it today. This food manager refused to approve my replacement coffee this morning. Now, let's get into the ways this is wrong on every level.
Went through the drive thru and placed order. Number 2b, large fries, large drink, 6 piece nuggets and a McFlurry. Total was $22.14 on the screen. We pull to the window and just happened to be paying cash with exact change. Handed the girl at window 1 the money and she looks at me and says, “it’s $23.00.” I told her no it was $22.14, and at this point I’m just thinking I want to make sure she has the correct order. Well she said, “No. It’s $23.” I give her $23, get my receipt. Pull forward for the order. Look at the receipt and she had up charged $.86 for RMHC donation. I wasn’t asked if I wanted to round up. I tried to correct her and she told me I was wrong. It’s a minimal amount (being under $1), but my experience with this type of thing has always been that there is some fraud or something happening. Normally wouldn’t complain but it was the way she did it. Check your receipts. Curious who else this has happened to. For me it was under $1, but imagine how often and for how long this has happened. It can add up quickly at a place like a McDonalds. Next time just ask because this is a bad look. Also, make sure that actually...
Read moreQuick and efficient. Food was picture perfect as tho they placed every piece of ingredient exactly where they belonged, took a high megapixel picture of it for a TV ad, placed it in a perfectly wrapped personalized bag, sent it up to Jesus for approval, then he hit the like button.
I do wished I hadn't spent one of my 3 genie wishes for picture perfect and great tasting food that night. But it's OK, I still have 2 wishes left and Jaffar didn't mention any fine print clauses of wishing for more wishes so I'll be OK.
One thing for sure, you can almost guarantee that McDonald's has gotten their fries to an almost science. I describe it as, THEY MAKE THE FRIES EXACTLY AS THOUGH THEY WERE MAKING IT FOR THEMSELVES. So rest assured you won't have to use one of your 3 when you come to McDonald's.
