This mcds is close to home and on the direct path to and from work. Yet, it's worth it to me to drive to the Battlefield locations. It's pricing is cheaper even than the 1607 Battlefield, and yet, still worth it to go to the Battlefield location. My advice on this particular location is: keep driving.
I use the app pretty exclusively, I really love the ability to order and have my order get put through correctly. Not to mention there is almost always a deal I can use on my meal. This location struggles with app orders. They either can't find my code even if I've checked in and have been in the drive thru line for awhile already. More than once they've insisted I pay at the window after they've found my app order and processed it. I show them my banking app saying it's gone through, nope, need to pay to get my food. If I used a deal, they'll sometimes ask I pay the discount amount, because "the app didn't collect the full amount due". Yeah, that's not a thing.
This last time, after I've paid for my meal twice again, I look at the receipt and it's not even my order it's someone's multi person meal. I said, wait, nope, I'm gonna need a refund on this $30 order when I got a single double cheese and a coke myself. Uh, the manager's busy, so we can't. It's mid- late afternoon, so it's not really busy except by their own doing. I waited and was glared at like I'm the bad guy here.
This is the only location I've used that has these issues. I mean, consistently has these issues over the last two years. It's my own fault for expecting a different experience. It gets two stars because when I eventually get my order it's always correct. It's not a hard order admittedly and I've usually paid twice for it, so it should...
Read moreWhen I first moved in with my partner I thought it was silly that he insisted on driving to the McDonald's on battlefield when this one is so much more convenient. But after almost every order I've received has had missing items or has been completely wrong all together, I've grudgingly conceded to his wisdom. This isn't a newly occurring issue. I'm not proud to admit I pick up McDonald's at least once a week for dinner as a working mom, so this has been ongoing. Almost every visit I have to go in to get the rest of my order, or I just go without so long as there's enough for my kids when I'm too tired to deal with it. Not once have I received a sincere apology or any offer of compensation either. I know losing one family as a customer won't hurt their bottom line, but at least if I start giving the one on battlefield my business I might be helping my own by actually getting what I pay for. I'll end with my experience tonight...they left out FOUR big mac's from my order. When she handed me one bag I asked how they'd fit everything into one, and all I got was a closed window as a response. I pulled into a space to check my bag, saw what was missing and took everything inside to get the rest of my order. No apology, he just told me he had told her I had more, handed me the bag and I left filled with frustration. I will say, the man who generally takes the orders at the drive through window has excellent customer service skills and my receipt is always correct when he's the one that rings my order in. It's too bad he's not the one in charge as I'm sure I'd have a much...
Read moreAfter a treacherous week of post wisdom teeth removal, all I wanted was a shamrock shake. I had just left the doctor to some heartbreaking news…. I have dry sockets. At first I thought nothing could ease the pain the pain that I had just embarked on, but then I passed Mcdonald’s. I saw the Shamrock shake sign glistening through the window. Immediately I started drooling. I knew that I had to have this magical milkshake in my mouth as soon as possible. So I drove to the Mcdonald’s on Sunshine, to make my dreams come true. The first red flag I experienced was the hateful lady working the drive through window. But nothing was gonna pop my bubble, considering I was about to devour a yummy shamrock shake. However, my second red flag was destructive. As you know, you cannot use a straw after getting your wisdom teeth out, so I asked for a spoon. This was no problem at all and I gladly received the spoon I requested. The first three bites of that shake were great, you could even say incredible, but then I became overloaded with pure terror. As I scooped the perfect spoonful of shake on my spoon, I discovered, which i’m hoping was just an eyelash, eyebrow, or beard hair. This experience was extremely heart breaking, it not only ruined my appetite but it ruined my day. I had to throw that poor shamrock shake away. This disappointed me deeply, it caused my bubble to burst. My heart is no longer full and my love for a nice shamrock shake has...
