If you want the menu on their website, you will be in for a surprise, especially sticker shock! I found something that sounded fab, was $10-11, so we went. Get there and not only is it not on the menu, all of their prices are written over... I get prices have gone up, but update your online menu at minimum, I would have preferred to spend that $5 on gas to get to my fav place. And the item I wanted wasn't anywhere on their menu.
Food... fried spring roll was mostly the wrap, not much in it. My meal came with the wrong sides, I was supposed to get cucumber and daikon radish (or something similar), which I was excited about, and I it was missing. The meat was full of flavor but it doesn't make up for the rest by itself. Can't comment to my friends food. I'd love to see alcohol too, I wanted a glass of plum wine with dinner, it's my thing.
Ambience... very very bright lights and very loud, it not only needs some sound dampening, but the workers need to be a bit more considerate of diners, they were yelling at each other, I could hear (not understand) their conversation over our own.
And there was NO soap in the bathroom. If I am going to eat with my hands, I want to wash them before (and sometimes after). I had to after this time as the napkins were thin and fell apart, and we didn't have enough but they were so busy in conversation, no one checked on us.
I know they're new (and sounded desperate for customers from what the lady implied), but they opened near multiple other...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant twice on June 9 and June 10, 2024. Our first experience on the 9th was positive, and we noticed a lunch special we wanted to try. So, we returned the next day with our two children. We ordered three lunch specials: two pho specials and one grilled chicken dish. We even added an order of Bun Bo Hue at the end. Our kids shared one of the pho dishes, and I only asked for two small bowls to split the pho for them. We received no extra soup, just the two empty bowls.
To our shock, the bill came to $112! When we asked them to recalculate, we found out they charged us the price of two small pho orders just because we asked for two small bowls. Despite splitting the pho myself, we were charged extra. This felt like a scam and was very disappointing.
Additionally, the older lady, who seemed to be the owner or co-owner, was extremely unwelcoming during our second visit, seemingly because we were ordering the lunch special. It's puzzling why businesses offer specials if they're unhappy to serve them.
We will not be returning. There are plenty of great Vietnamese and pho restaurants in the area, and there's no need to support a place that appears to intentionally overcharge families with...
Read moreA friend and I decided to have an early Sunday dinner today, and try out a new place that we had never been to. I knew that the restaurant had existed for some time, butI never had the opportunity to give it a try. We arrived somewhat early, and there weren't any customers yet dining inside. That made finding a nice table easy! A nice lady who works there accompanied us,and informed us about the promotion that they have going on. It included a large bowl of pho soup which is one of my favorites, a beef or chicken platter, two egg rolls, and a drink. All for around $18.00. it sounded like a plan to me because of the pho soup alone, so I decided on the pho tai a vien which consisted of a steak and meat balls. The platter also included rice, like most platters do. My friend ordered something more light, called the com bo xao lan that consisted of stir fried beef. Our order was prepared right away, and soon enough we were enjoying an exotic meal that I haven't had the opportunity to eat very often. The food, Server, and ambiance were...
