Went with some of my coworkers; my first visit. It was a busy lunchtime, so our table needed cleaning, but they did so quickly. Our waitress was very nice, although busy. She took time to recommend drinks to my lunch mates and explain some menu items. I got soup/salad/bread. The soup was an amazing lemon chicken soup. The bread/butter was a whole baguette (crispy and soft!) with real butter (yum). The salad had good dressing and greens...although there were beet-greens, which I usually can't stand due to bitterness, but these were actually good! The waitress asked what cheese I wanted instead of gorgonzola (which I don't eat), and I said grated parm, thinking that would be easiest...when it came out, it was totally covered/drowned in white...only time in my life there was too much cheese! The waitress came by a minute later and was shocked, apologized profusely, and said she'd talk to whomever made the salad for the future. One got a burger/fries, one got a chicken wrap/chips, one got crab cakes. Overall it was a good experience and I'd go again, it's just not going to be my go-to.

Stopped in for lunch, and was surprised by how many sandwiches, and burgers were on the menu! The burger was very juicy and flavorful. The crab cakes were delicate, and not over cooked. They were so light and flaky. The banana cake is what I have always heard they were famous for, and boy did it not disappoint! A cake that taste like a tasty banana bread with a nice icing on top, must try!

One of my favorite lunch spots in downtown Springfield! Nick and his amazing staff and family work so hard to deliver amazing food and great prices, hospitality that's on another level and they even have some pretty awesome beer selections and specials! St Michael's is truly a staple of downtown Springfield and a must visit!

My boss took our group here my first day of my new job. It was a day of firsts. I had the lunch special which was a hearty serving of lasagna and a house salad. I didn't care for the house dressing. I think it was a balsamic vinaigrette and I am not fond of it. I usually don't like much dressing on my salad and they seemed to drown my salad in it. Next time request dressing on the side. The lasagna was great! I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. We all got a slice of cake to go and their banana cake was wonderful! Servings are large and we enjoyed our meal. We had reservations, and got seated directly while others waited for a table. This place is popular with the downtown lunch bunch...so...

BEST WEDDING CAKE EVER!!!

This was the first place my parents and I ate when I was touring SMSU (at the time) for a college option. We shared a slice and it was Heaven. I’ve been getting it as my birthday cake ever since! That was 16 years ago!!!

Side note- The traditional chicken salad is the best in town & I love the meatball sub with Maui onion chips. But seriously, if you haven’t tried the banana cake- you are missing out.

We had Jenny create a cake for our wedding at the lake this past Summer. It was beautiful and delicious. Not a single piece left! Simply the BEST. Love the owners and their family and will continue to...
