Stepchild Lounge — Restaurant in Springfield

Great service but I have to admit I was talking to the driver and we got into a pretty deep conversation as I was talking to him I dropped my phone in the cab I paid $15 for the cab fare when it should should have just spent ten $10 i guess it was fine cuz he pick two of us in the same vehicle so I ended up paying 15 which i still dont understand because of my starting point he charged me from the starting point of the fair before me on the same pick up.but I dropped my phone while I was talking to him he left I called and said I forgot my phone I said if I could pay $5 for him to bring the right back it was immediately I found out and he said he would bring it back for $10 that's the kind of people they are $25 just for me I felt I was overcharged but I guess that's people for you and that's Yellow Cab for you butt got he got me home safe at least and I guess he brought back my phone for $10 I'm top of my 15 within that 20 minutes time frame make what you will of it that $10 will cost him one day I hope he remembers me and the other people he done like that. This was the second bar my husband, Matt and I visited in Springfield when we moved here 2 and a half years ago. We have tried several other bars in town but not one of them was special enough for Matt and myself to call our bar! The Stepchild on other hand is exactly the kind of bar that we our proud to call ours!! We were welcomed by all from the very start! 😍 The stepchild has live music once or twice a week. Wednesday through Thursday, starting at 9pm they have karaoke. The DJ's that preside over the karaoke nights are the absolute best!! Shout out to m Corey! # Bang, Bang, Bang!! Vamonos, vamonos!! Ya so this place is disgusting 🤮 the bar is dirty and the people straight up welfare white trash! I’ve always been a fan of dive bars.. but this is place is nasty… I will not ever return nor would I recommend this place to anyone! There are certain people who basically live in this place from open to close and complain about their sad little lives and enjoy making fun of those who have a good life!
