Ok ok ok ok.... the choices can be quite overwhelming if you come in as a newbie to the coffee shop world (lifestyle).
The staff at Dancing Mule are totes easygoing.
My first time (8ish years ago) I went in and got a basic coffee. I did this a few more times avoiding eye contact, trying not to embarrass myself about not knowing a darn thing about coffee (other than the obvious, caffeine!!).
Eventually I felt bold enough.. (heck yea that is pun intended!! 🤣) ...to ask a question! That is when I learned about Americanos for the first time.
That question led me to experimenting with choice in the coffee world, I moved on to try the Mule Kick on a particularly way to early to be alive morning, and I tell you what, if a mule kicks like that, I’ll take it every morning!!
Then I learned about buying bags of coffee from them. They don’t just get on Amazon and say hmmm this looks like it might be good! They are invested in choosing a variety of quality coffee for your tasting experience.
Sooooo... a drawback for me... location isn’t in the most convenient location for me to make this my daily stop. The rewards cards were changed to paper punch cards and I never know which wallet or pocket or maybe trash can(???) got my card at the end of the day.
I do try to stay up with them on Facebook, I love to at least pop in out a few times a month for a relaxing atmosphere and smooth cup of...
Read moreThis coffee spot is awesome!! I had been to only a few in town and never got the courage to try a new place, that is until a few months ago. First off, I absolutely detest Starbucks, their coffee is bitter and I have never had a coffee ever even come close to the same one I ordered the time before, so the only reason that I would go there was because they had a drive through and I needed coffee. Because most of the coffee I had gotten at Starbucks was horrible, I was a little afraid to try a new place, but I was soooo incredibly happy that I did! I ordered the Dirty Chai for my first drink and I was sold, I actually saved some to let my husband try, and he loved it as well. Not only was the drink perfection, but the locale is excellent ( right up the rode from us ;) and the drive thru is speedy. Their service is great, they are super friendly and make their drinks the same every time I get one. They also have a "rewards" card, which is scanned with every purchase for free items. I got one after the first trip because I knew I was going to spend a lot of money here. My kids love the Mango Tango and they always split it into two cups for them to share. I've had their blueberry muffin and their sausage and cheese scones, both were delish! If you have been getting inferior coffee, you need to give this place a try, you will not be...
Read moreI don't know what I can say about the coffee that hasn't been said by so many others, so I won't comment on it other than to say it's always REALLY good and carefully made. Now here are some other things I love about this place: 1. The staff is consistently the warmest, friendliest, and seemingly genuinely happiest group of people one can encounter during their day at work. I don't know what it's like to work at Dancing Mule, but it seems like it might be awesome. 2. I love the mural in the drivethrough. It reminds me of Doug's beatnik sister from the 90s Nickelodeon cartoon DOUG. Hey, did you guys know that the lady who plays Yoga Jones on Orange is the New Black was also the voice of Patti Mayonnaise on DOUG? Now that you know, you'll never un-hear it when Yoga Jones speaks on OITNB. Anyway, 3. This really nice gal with the biggest smile in the drivethrough had a tattoo that said "pineapples are in my head," and I don't know for sure if it was a reference to the band Glass Animals, but that's what A web search of that phrase lead me to, and I was previously unaware of that band, but I've been jamming them for a day or two now and looking up tour dates (nothing close so far), so in addition to the 60 or so seconds of sunshine that lady added to my day just by being herself, she also lead me to discover a band i now...
