Subway — Restaurant in Springfield

Two other cars and myself drove up on a Friday night. It happened to be the first Friday on the week MSU started back. We had a late event and just wanted something to eat before bed that was fast and decent. It was 25 minutes to close and the door was locked. So, one of the other people knock on the window. (I was just going to go to Jimmy Johns instead.)

I turn around after hearing him knock, then I see a young girls head pop out of the back. She looks at the clock (fully knowing the sign outside says they close in 25 minutes), looks at 6 different people, then proceeds to go back into the back and IGNORE everyone.

I don't know what girl was working, but she had a darker pony tail. If I owned the place I would check back on ticket sales to see if one night had zero sales on the last half hour and I would fire that girl on principle alone. I'm only writing this because as a manager, I would want to know when one of my employees is costing the business money. She might as well just reach in the register and take the cash.

I went to Jimmy Johns...so did the other two cars of people and I'll never be back to...

I don’t know who my server was but he was here 5/30/2023 at 7:24pm. This guy couldn’t care about nothing, no smiles, no eye contact wouldn’t stop to pay attention to what I was telling him at the cash register.

Sandwich looked like someone threw the ingredients in a bag and shook em up. Dude barely put any lettuce in my sandwich which was a first for me at any subway location. Had some onions that where not fully cut and looked soggy and depressed on my sandwich, dude was slamming dishes and containers all over the place like excuse me you have customers present let them enjoy the over priced subs in peace. 10/10 would not recommend this location or this Sub maker causes I wouldn’t even call him a Sandwich Artist with the anorexic and depressed sub he made me. Sub looked like it had been working a 9-5 and hated his life.

Had to wait for five minutes as the guy counted every piece of change in the drawer even though there were 3 other employees, the bread was so rock hard it cut my mouth, the veggie patties were still frozen in the middle like I told the guy they would be since he didn't microwave them first, I said minimal meatball sauce and it was so goopy with sauce my boyfriend couldn't even eat his sandwich, part of my step-daughter's sandwich had way too much sauce and half had almost none. 10/10 would NOT recommend, even if every other sandwich place is closed. Please retain the guy that was working around 3pm and help him when there are multiple sandwiches instead of waiting for him to ask. What a waste of...
