I'm going to break this down into three different categories: price, food, and service.
Price: WHAT ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN CHARGE $15 FOR A PLAIN CHEESEBURGER THAT DOESNT EVEN COME WITH LETTUCE AND TOMATO.... and that's the cheapest burger. Fries sold separately. No wonder why they don't show the prices on the menu that's shown.
Food: burgers are 6 oz. So they are fairly small. They don't come with lettuce/tomato/pickles. The sauces are good and the overall burger is decently flavorful. Fries are like the old cafeteria fries that are very crispy. If you know, you know.
Service: the guy working the register who took our order was very polite, attentive, and prompt. I can't say anything negative about the service. Place was also clean.
In all honesty, this was a one and done experience for me. They don't even have ketchup bottles or physical receipts, so if you're a business looking to keep it for a tax write-off, Goodluck digging through your text message threads looking for the link from 12 months ago.
@ the business owner. I would like to hear how you can possibly justify $15 for a plain 6oz burger with no sides or lettuce/tomato, then an additional $5.49 for a side of fries and a can of soda. You're not in a busy area to argue demand; the place was EMPTY. Patrons can go to Black Bear in Hoboken and get a nice, juicy, perfectly cooked 10 oz burger with onion rings, bacon, and BBQ sauce for like $18-22 that also comes with a generous side of fries and coleslaw AND pickles. $7 for a milkshake in the size of a medium Starbucks cup for a milkshake that barely has any taste is a rip-off. I would recommend going to magic fountain in summit as an alternative where you can get a large milkshake for $6.50 that is at least double the size with an infinite amount more taste.
OVERALL, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. There are so many more better alternatives in the nearby area that are correctly priced and offer better tasting food and overall better value for the money you are spending. AT BEST, 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks, and a milkshake would have been a $30 meal with the overall quality the...
Read morePros, great burgers, super friendly staff and owner. First off. You dont have some spaced out no brain teen flipping burgers. You have people who care about their food crafting each burger for you. Would i say they have one of the best burgers around? ...Yes! Better than red robin, richmons, melt shop, definely better than five guys. Cheese burger = juicy, cheesy, beefy, with little crisps of charred cheese that hit the range during cooking. No random chunks of hard meat/bone. All soft beefy meat. The king = neat! Add your base cheese burger and add peanut butter and banana... much better than you think. Seewt and beefy cheesy goodness. However.. the flavours compete for attention. They all want to be the star, so be prepared for flavor swings. The Nacho libre...take your base burger and stick it in a wrap.......its good, but doesn't win any title belts.(missing something) Fantastic four, base cheeseburger with mac and cheese. You get more food and weight to this one. Mac and chees looks like low grade kraft at first... but its surprising that it has such a decent creamy flavour. Personally could be heavier in cheese sauce but its still good. No need to try and get the mac to stay in your burger. I feel this on is better as a mini meal keeping the parts seperate..(dont take out and fail to eat it in your car... i lost bacon doing this.) The "Beast Boy" An all veggie patty , not plant based but real veggies, wheat bun was tasty and went well with the crispy patty. Very good, and im not a fake burger guy. Would definitely eat again. The texas ranger As texas as you can imaginge. All tge flavours work perfectly together. A definite go to for a bbq burger. More to come as i eat...
Read moreI was drawn to this establishment based on its stellar reputation, as evidenced by an impressive average rating of 4.9 stars from over 300 reviews. This acclaim alone was enough to justify any travel distance for me. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere; it's a place brimming with creativity and a family-friendly vibe. A unique feature is their in-house collectible store, showcasing a clear affection for Pokemon, Batman, and the wider DC Comics universe, not to mention their obvious passion for burgers.
The staff here are welcoming and friendly, contributing to the overall positive experience. However, my main reason for the visit – the food – unfortunately fell short of expectations. I opted for the classic burger, which turned out to be rather mediocre. The portion size was disappointingly small, and the fries seemed like they were straight out of a frozen package, lacking any distinctive flair.
While this place certainly excels in creativity and ambiance, the culinary experience doesn't quite match up. In my opinion, a more fitting overall rating for this establishment would be...
