A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was a very nice surprise to find in Springfield, MO. It's a small place and is packed during the lunch rush. I tried the Royal Chicken (medium) and was blown away! The royale chicken is lightly breaded and comes with a side of fried rice. The sauce was mild and the next time I get it, I will ask for some heat! Everything tasted very fresh. Today the owner had purple hair this week and makes you feel welcome! If you have a craving for Thai food, you have to try out Thai Express! Oh and don't forget to get a bowl of the chicken rice soup while you wait for your meal. It is free if you are dining in! The opinions stated here are my own and not provided to me by the owner/operator of this establishment. My goal is to provide honest feedback on my experience, and encourage everyone to provide feedback on their experience. Your experience and opinion may differ based on a number of factors. No monetary compensation was received and I was not required to write a positive or negative review. *review update 2/4/19* I went back 2 weeks ago and got the Ginger chicken and side order of shrimp spring rolls. Both were so good! The spring rolls come with a sweet vinegar sauce that is perfect for dipping the spring rolls in. The Ginger chicken was not spicy, but I tried 2 of the hot sauces by the front counter and that put some heat on it! Best Thai food around, I try to go there every time I am in Springfield.

There isn't a more respectable business in town! Like many, I learned about Thai Express as a result of their initiatives to support their team and the community during the COVID pandemic. Patrick and his team initially sold hard-to-find bulk items to the public at cost. They struggled to survive and asked for help and the community began ordering menu items. Patrick immediately and consistently returned the favor tenfold by ordering lunch for his team from various local businesses. He used his social platforms to share the experiences and promote others including his competitors! Patrick continued to support the community by tweaking the menu to offer affordable family bundles. He regularly communicated (and still communicates) with the public for their feedback. He makes Springfield part of the discussion, hears what we say, and makes insightful decisions ultimately for our benefit and their success. When I finally ordered from Thai Express, I ordered the Massaman curry and was in love, and that's literally what I've ordered every single time. Or at least it was! One day I was presented with the opportunity to try the pineapple fried rice and now I'm in lust! I drool for this dish. 🤤 But what woulda review be without mentioning the yummy spring rolls? Last time I ordered, I ordered all three literally for myself (no one else) so that I'd have leftovers for days (the portions are massive). Five stars just are not enough stars

We've been excited to go since the opening but didn't because of the lines. We happened to drive by on Christmas Eve around 4PM and saw the lines were minimal, so we decided to stop. I'll be honest, I was very disappointed. We ordered cashew chicken and royal chicken. Cashew chicken we ordered in a regular size which included about 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of food. The royal chicken was a large size and I feel that this is the standard size of most other Asian food places. Sure, it filled us up but there definitely wasn't enough for a decent leftover meal the next day. The taste was okay, not amazing for all the hype. Very mild and bland compared to most other. I prefer The Wok and Canton Inn's cashew chicken over this. The royal chicken was alright but not amazing. Another concern I had was we decided to go inside to order carryout. When I went to pay, there was no option to skip the tip. The lowest I could tip was 5%. I don't mind tipping when dining in but if you're going to force customers to tip, please just include it into the cost of food and pay your employees a living wage. I don't know if you have to tip in drive-through. We will probably go back in a few months and try some of their more popular items but it's going to be several months before we give it a go again. Next time I want to spend $35 on food, I'll go somewhere else that I know will give me plenty of leftovers the next day.

This was our first visit. Like many others we waited until the drive thru lines weren't so busy.

We had previewed the menu online before going and had decided we would do the 2/$25 with 2 entrees and 2 appetizers. When we ordered she told us it was now 2/$30 but we thought that would still be the way to go considering the high price of an order of crab rangoon. (They are 4/$5.45, more on this later).

My wife got spicy cashew chicken and I got Thai Spicy Drunken Noodles. Both dishes had very good flavor, however the portions were quite small especially considering the price. The entrees alone would not have been enough food. If we had purchased them separately the cashew chicken would have been almost $12 and the Drunken Noodles would be $14, portions were very small for those prices. If I had purchased my entree and appatizer separately it would have cost over $19, there is no way it was worth that much. I could have a good steak with 2 sides in a restaurant where I would be served at my table for less than that. For this reason I gave the Food a 3 ⭐ rating.

While the crab rangoon had good flavor and were quite large the shells were soggy. We prefer a crunchy shell like their menu states that they are made with wonton shells. We put ours in the oven at home for 20 minutes and they were a little better. Ironically, the best crab rangoon in Springfield, and the best we've had anywhere, are at China King which is located directly behind Thai Express. The order of 4 at Thai Express is definitely not worth $5.45.

Overall it wasn't a bad experience, the flavor was really good, but for $30 in a drive thru we felt like we should have had more food, and were disappointed in the crab rangoon. As mentioned before, China King will not disappoint and the portions are large, and the 2 of us can have dinner for $10 less than here. And my wife can make 2 meals out of her China King order. We wanted to try this place because it's new on our side of town and we knew the owner tries to support the local community, despite how the media tries to portray him, but unfortunately it will not be a regular stop for us. We wish them long...

Thai Express has great food. They have always been fast and fresh and if you have any dietary questions about preparation, they will do their best to answer them and work with you. The owner (the younger Patrick) is a fantastic human being, as is his dad (also named Patrick) and his whole staff. During the pandemic, Patrick was instrumental in keeping our community not only fed, but stocked with groceries, as he ordered items that were in high demand and hard to find in grocery stores and had them available at his restaurant for purchase. Not only that, he constantly promotes "the competition" publicly, when he posts pictures of food from other restaurants he enjoys. He treats his staff phenomenally well, offering competitive pay, taking them out to dinner, closing the restaurant occasionally to give his whole staff much needed rest days,, taking them on vacation and often offering discounts to the community in order to encourage extra tips to his staff which he of course matches a percentage of. The food is always tasty. If you are new to Thai food, ask for recommendations. They will hook you up. If you have an issue with the quality of a dish, which I have never personally had, let them know. They encourage feedback and will do their best to make it right. I highly recommend the massaman curry or magic noodles which are two of my favorites, but you can't go wrong with anything you get there. If you want to give your business to a restaurant who is doing everything right, pick Thai Express. You will be...
