LOCALLY OWNED!!! This is the best place to sit and relax with a great quality cup of tea. Really, saying cup of tea sounds so ordinary. Gordon uses the science & art of combining ingredients to create a tea that does not exist anywhere else in the world. Hard to believe? Go taste for yourself and ask him yourself. I didn't know tea could be so fascinating. Great cups, strainers, & teapots. D&D fans go check out the line of character blends. Staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and provide amazing recommendations! The shop itself is so beautiful and clean. And the tea... The tea is amazing! Honestly, the D&Tea products are my favorite, and not just because I like the novelty of Dungeons and Dragons inspired tea blends to drink during game night. The teas themselves are well balanced. The cinnamon and peppercorns in Barbarian's Rage are deliciously spicy without being overpowering, and the jasmine flowers and rose in Druid's Harmony are floral without tasting like perfume. My coworkers and I went to Whimsy Tea Company as a part of a professional development day. Gordon, the owner, told us all about the different aspects of tea: growing, procurement, blending, and retail. The shop is bright, clean and modern, and is beautifully decorated with local art. Gordon explained all the different tea blends and how they are brewed for maximum enjoyment. He showed us how the teas can be steeped in a French press, in tea balls, and with reusable tea bags, and then demonstrated them for us. He definitely has a passion for what he does and it shows.
