Springfield zaxbys, what can I say. so our Friday night was ruined spent driving across town. Heres the quick story. Mom went on the way home to pick up dinner fast food convenience is always great. Ordered food for 4 people. Broke $100 bill. One item was missing. Twas a 10 pc chicken tenders. So we call and say hey this was missing can we come get the item. They say absolutely come with receipt. So I personally drove across town, and waited in the drive-thru because it was cold.
Once I arrived at the window I was met with a young lady whom I will not name out of decency.
This young lady is the REASON I AM WRITING.
She says to me what item was placed in place of the 10pc? I said we did not receive any extra items. She then goes on to tell me that usually when orders are messed up there are items swapped between 2 orders. Bright I tell ya. So I asked, has anyone else come with a messed up order? she says no. She then tells me that they looked at the cameras and that there was an item placed under a kids meal that should have been the 10pc. Well the item placed was a single piece of toast loose in the bag. I did not mention this to her of course just said the 10pc was missing. I asked of course if I could speak with a manager, since I was told to come across town over the telephone, and she said she was the manager. Anyways she very rudely discloses to me that they will not be giving a refund or a 10pc replacement due to further investigation into the subject. Then she asks if I would like to order something because I was holding up her line. I say no I dont believe I will spend anymore money at this location now or in the future. She says Im sorry you feel that way. So I left.
I then let my mom who originally ordered drive across town. Very upset as this was like a $13.99 item and all she wanted was convenient fast food. I just told her to be polite as possible and that I would go get a 10pc from Bojangles instead. Because judging by the ladys rude lil attitude at the window, if they replaced it we feared she would burn or spit on the chicken out of spite.
Anyways, after what my mom described as a 20 minute standoff with a manager whom was NOT the young lady that I interacted with, she comes home with the replacement item.
To the real or the other manager whom she spoke with, thank you for the eventual replacement item. Please do not fire any young ladys because of this. Train them. Let her learn from this.
And to the young lady, there is more to life...
Read moreGenerally good food, and I've been a big fan of mobile order service for years. However, in the last two months virtually every time I've ordered I haven't received any sauce, for any item. Specifically I mean 4 out of 5 orders. Next door is Sonic, and their sauced chicken isn't all that great, but they don't mess up their mobile orders and okay chicken with sauce is better than good chicken without any. I think I can wait a couple of months while the dry, bland taste leaves my mouth.
Update: 6/5/2023. I tried again with another mobile order that I picked up through the drive thru. Not only did I not receive any sauce, I did not receive any slaw, either.
Update: 7/3/2023. I tried again with another mobile order that I picked up through the drive thru. Again, no dipping sauce was given. On inspection I discovered that their own receipt didn't include the sauce, though everything else was on it. The receipt emailed to me has it. The next time I go by I'll try to remember to place an order in person just so I can inspect that receipt; maybe the online system has a disconnect that's causing it to be missing.
Update: 8/13/2023. Mobile order through drive thru again. Instead of receiving 1 ranch and 2 honey mustard sauces I received 4 ranch and 4 zax sauce. I confirmed that the receipt had at least the 2 honey mustard sauces on it.
Update: 9/30/2023. Mobile order through drive thru again. I received exactly the sauces I ordered....
Read moreThis was a fun place to eat. They didn't get my order right at first, but they took care of it quickly and without fuss. The decor ranged from movie and music posters to local sports memorabilia. We enjoyed talking to the employees, too. We shall return. 👍😊
We returned on May 25. 2022. My daughter and I and a couple of grandkids had been shopping in Springfield. They wanted tacos next door, and I opted for Zaxby's. My cashier was fairly new. He got my order mostly right, but he informed me that I could not get extra chicken fingers on my salad. Not "I don't know how to ring that up," but just no. Not possible. I told him every other Zaxby's I have been to does that for me, but it made no difference. I suggested he ask for help. Finally, I asked him to ring them up separately. The salad was still very good. I enjoyed it. But I wish managers could impress upon new hires that finding ways to solve problems for your guests is good, even if you do have to ask for help. I'm not so much in a hurry to...
