We went here today because my daughter really wanted Mexican food after enjoying Scarecrow Fest. My brother looked this place up, so we decided to give it a try. We did not get any alcoholic drinks so I can’t comment on their bar selections. We started with the complimentary salsa and ordered the chili con queso. The salsa was good, and the queso was excellent. But when the meals came, I was less than impressed. I ordered the a burrito that was basically just meat and beans and was topped with cheese. When I asked for hot sauce, my options were Tabasco and Cholula. (Spelling that wrong). Most “authentic” Mexican restaurants have their signature hot sauces so I was surprised they did not. My daughter got the steak tacos and she said she enjoyed them. My other daughter got a steak burrito, that she said, “Hit the spot” We ordered the flan for dessert which was okay. I would say this is a subpar Mexican restaurant. You can tell it has a following, but I wonder if these people have ever been elsewhere. That being said, the service was excellent! Our server was very attentive with drink refills and asking how everything was, and the atmosphere was fun! I would go back and sit at the bar, maybe have a couple margaritas and an appetizer or two, but I don’t think I’d eat a...

We went in to el puente over an hour before close excited for some margaritas and pina coladas because it is a Mexican restaurant after all! We got there and we are told they aren’t serving any frozen drinks anymore. Which was a disappointment. We ordered our food and my husband got the “tacos el pastor” which in the description came with THREE tacos rice and beans. When we get our meal he only has received two tacos, our waitress comes and asks how everything is and we explain that he was supposed to get 3 tacos with his meal. And she says “because you got flour tortillas you only get 2.” We were both shocked at this, never have I ever been given less than at any Mexican place because of the tortilla that was chosen, and we frequent different Mexican food joints almost weekly. We were never told that he would be getting less food when ordering nor does it say it ANYWHERE on the menu. We were charged the same amount for 1 less taco, and the taco was only half full. The food was very bland. Overall we will not be going back there and feel that we were scammed a little. Service was very good, that is why they are...

Beware of eating here and look at your receipts! There are signs all over stating that if you pay n cash you get an immediate discount if you pay in cash, but if you pay by card it's a 3.5% upcharge.

My mom and I ate and had a couple of margaritas while waiting for a show to start across the street. I noticed the signs and paid in cash. After looking at the receipt more closely we noticed the upcharge is ALREADY ADDED! The server took our cash and pocketed the money from the upcharge without saying a word. When we questioned this she said that's how they have been doing it...They are literally stealing our money and claiming it's a discount! Extremely tacky to make your patrons pay for the lease you have on YOUR credit card machine in the first place but then you literally steal the $...

Long-standing favorite for hearty meal of "comfort food" and great service. Servers have always been attentive, friendly, and helpful in our experience. Julissa really gave us smiles today with her can-do attitude, even when busy during the lunch rush. My husband orders the two-enchilada dinner with rice and beans. I order the grilled cheese (it comes with American cheese) and fries. Chips are fresh and salsas are always yummy. Portions are really generous, served on large oval plates. We appreciate that they charge a lower rate if you pay cash, since I'm sure those processing fees for credit cards add up for a small local business. Doing what they can to keep prices fair and reasonable for everyone!

I had the Steak and grilled vegetables quesadillas plate with rice and beans for $20 including tip. (no drinks) Server was quick and food was served fast near closing time (8:00pm) It's really just steak fajitas with cheese sandwiched between one large folded flour tortilla minus a fajitas hot plate. Grilled onions and green/red peppers and strips or chunks of steak = fajitas. Nothing special about the steak. Wish the beans were not refried and steak better seasoned. They do serve corn chips and salsa while you wait but the salsa is not pico de gallo. The warm salsa was like tomato paste - no flavor. I feel they are cutting corners at this place. I wouldn't come back.

I am so excited to have found this gem of a restaurant!! I moved in town a year ago and tried about every Mexican restaurant in St. Charles and Geneva. I finally landed on this one and absolutely loved everything about it! Chips and salsa 💓, chicken fajitas happen to be the best fajitas I have ever had. I don’t know how or what they are marinating it in, but it is so outstanding. It has a spicy sweet type of seasoning and then there’s a Keylime pie. Are you kidding me, wow💕 really outstanding and the services noted.. warm authentic family owned wonderful restaurant. Check it out.! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s
